First of all - only marked it down by one star because of the poor choice of real ales, only two on offer and then the brewery's (J W Lees) own brands. If that doesn't bother you - then its 5 star all the way.
My wife and I booked the 'booze and snooze' offer through Late Rooms at £95 dbb inc bottle of house wine (we had the Merlot very nice) and a £40 dinner allowance. (Note: book same deal direct with hotel).
The Huntsman has been refurbished recently and to a very high standard and taste. Nice bar area and the restaurant is large but cozy with tables spaced well apart. The rooms, I assume, are all a bit different, we stayed in room 1 (a disabled room - although we ourselves are not) and it was beautifully furnished and very comfortable.
Can't really fault anything (apart from the choice of real beer), the meal was very good indeed and the staff excellent, very friendly and attentive.
The place itself is high on the moors, with spectacular scenery and walking around.
For a view, the upper rooms I would think.
