Decent enough we were in room 9 small but functional. Only stayed for one night.staff were very good very helpfull .slept fine although a little noisy from slug and lettuce. Good bar . Full English very good . Glad for once didn't book premier inn . Would stay again although at £99 for 1 night bit steep. The heating was on so a little warm in the communal areas.

Booked this hotel for this Saturday 21st September. Two days later we receive a message to say they have double booked and there are no rooms left. I find this difficult to believe in view of modern electronic booking systems. I smell a rat and I am left very unimpressed.

It's a decent enough place to stay, hotel was clean and staff were helpful. The room I stayed in was small and the carpet was a bit grubby but the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was nice and was a decent enough pub to spend the evening in. It's right in the centre if town, few doors up there is a wether spoons which is your usual cheap and cheerful.

Stayed for the night in may and was a bit worried because of the bad reviews but had no problems. The room was clean with a nice powerful shower and a comfy bed, had dinner as well which was really good value, most meals being two for £10. The staff were friendly and helpful would definitely visit again.

Arrived at the property with a colleague just before 8am hoping to leave luggage and check in later in the day. The front door was firmly locked with no sign of life and only the helpful cabbie who told us to 'head round the back' provided the opportunity for us to locate a staff member. You would think they would have a sign somewhere?
The lovely woman running the office was incredibly helpful and allowed us to leave our bags in a safe spot for the day. We checked in after 5pm and she was again very helpful. She had a staff member carry my very heavy suitcase to my room which was greatly appreciated.
I stayed in Room 9 which is on the third floor (up a few very rabbit-warren like staircases) and situated directly above the High St. Not great in the middle of a heat-wave where the only form of ventilation in the room is to leave the window open and there is a noise bar across the street and drunken revellers making their way home in the very early hours of the morning.
Internet access was excellent (free) as the WAP was directly outside my room. A colleague staying in Room 2 had poor wifi.
Room 9 was very small for a double with a tiny bathroom, and an uncomfortable bed but was adequate for one night only.
This hotel is very dated - downstairs is very 1950s in décor. A little creepy but beggars can't be choosers - there was little else going in the way of accommodation this particular week. That said - I clearly didn't do my research very well as the RelaxxInn website charged me 99 pounds for a double room. Our work hosts in Godalming were horrified and said it should have been no more than 60 pounds!

Room Tip: Room 9 has excellent wifi but is incredibly noisy above the High St. Room 2 had poor wifi but was n...

Avoid at all costs.
I stayed here at the beginning of July. Although I booked through a booking website the hotel refused to accept their price. The hotel is is symptomatic of one that is extremely poorly managed and as a result I would avoid all Relaxx Inzz (or however they spell their name?). The entrance and the whole hotel needs a deep clean and paint job.
My room was thick with a greasy dust across all the fitments. Cigarette ends in the beer garden were left for days (probably weeks) and breakfast dishes were not cleaned away after sittings. Quite why anyone finds this standard acceptable is beyond me. The first night I was kept awake until 2 by people in the beer garden. I stayed at The Talbot in Ripley cheaper and it was fabulous. Great rooms, great breakfast. There is no excuse for hotels of this standard but still they get away with it. I did try to leave a day early but was told they have a 72hour cancellation policy. Customer service is non existent from this manager.
Oh and to top it all they played Gary Glitter music at breakfast. . enough said.
I here The Swan is much better but cannot say from experience.

Room Tip: I hear The Swan is good (in Godalming) and I would vouch for The Talbot in Ripley. It's a diffe...

My husband and I stayed here in May and wished we hadn't. The first hurdle was the car park they advertised which only held about 6 cars so we had to find a pay and display car park up the road. On entering the building, there was a greasy, fatty smell and no-one to greet us. The room was very small which is fine for one night but it hadn't been cleaned properly for weeks (see photos of dust on surfaces). The staff were quite unhelpful and unfriendly and the hotel was overpriced at £85. Would we return? No.
