“its a must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

We have been staying at Blakey Hall Farm (BHF) for over 8 years now and would not stay anywhere else. BHF is not only a great base to visit the Lakes (1 hour away), the seaside (Blackpool and Morecombe within 45mins)n Yorkshire, Pendle and many other site, but is also a relaxing place to unwind and chillax. Rachel and Stephen are great hosts and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Pubs and local amenities are with a 30 minute walk and BHF is situated right next to the Leeds/Liverpool canal.....marvelous. The breakfasts are amazing so if you are wanting to lose weight forget it. All in all BHF is fab, and also offer self catering apartments that are dog freindly. A flexible, nothing is to much trouble approach is on offer so don't thinlk of going anywhere else

Having lots of friends and family in the area, it is great to have a comfortable base for our visits.

Blakey Hall Farm is everything we could want.
Beautiful rooms (self catering apartments and bed and breakfast rooms)
Excellent breakfast.
Beautiful views of the canal and surrounding area.
The most kind, helpful hostess.

Very clean, well maintained and pleasantly furnished.

Would highly recommend !

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your wonderful hospitality at the weekend, it’s not often that we find somewhere so wonderfully accepting of our dogs, but also with such high standards of hospitality and welcome, thank you.

We must say that the lovely welcome from Hector the labrador was particulary good fun, he often joined our two golden retrievers for a run across the fields during our stay.

We had one of the dairy rooms which was great for dogs - but had a look at the self catering apartments while we were there which were absolutely gorgeous, fantasticly high standards.

The local pub - does wonderful food as does Bannys Chip Shop if you fancied something a bit more low key.

Wonderful weekend with fantastic hosts - thank you

Room Tip: We had one of the dairy rooms which was great for dogs - but had a look at the self catering apartme...

I have just returned to the farm yet again after several visits and cannot recommend anywhere nicer, the hospitality of the owners Rachel and Stephen is second to none. They have now fully completed the last part of the barn's renovation from an old working dairy farm to the most beautiful bed and breakfast accommodation please see photos attached. Everywhere is immaculate with fantastic detail in all rooms. Roll on July when I returned with my friends I cannot wait.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely including the honeymoon suite

Me and my partner went to blakey hall farm for my birthday weekend and upon arrival we where greeted by Rachel who was friendly and helpful, the surroundings where beautiful and the room was amazing. The breakfast was lovely and the produce was fresh and locally sourced I believe. The only thing I found was the local pub / village was a bit too far but all in all an amazing weekend x

It was our first visit to Blakey Hall farm and we loved every minute of it! Rachel was a lovely hostess she meet us at our car when we arrive and welcomed us she walked us to our room and made perfect recommendations for us to go for local places to eat and drink. The room was absolutely stunning and immaculate perfect for a romantic break in the country. Breakfast was Lovely the breakfast room is as lovely as the bedrooms with lovely views. Blakey hall farm is the perfect place to go for complete countryside relaxation but within easy reach of lots of lovely towns and villages we went to the local town on the saturday evening and had a fantastic meal in Zio's as recommend by Rachel.

We had a wonderful stay made even more perfect with recommendations from a great host thank you so much we cant wait to come back again and to recommend to our friends and family :)
