We'd been looking forward to this, as we'd enjoyed the Singing Ringing Tree panopticon, and this was listed in the same group. The views were spectacular across the Lancs countryside and Wycoller park, but the the Atom itself left a lot to be desired. The polished steel ball, supposedly set in the middle of the Atom to reflect the views outside, was missing and looked like it had been wrenched from it's setting. There was also graffiti on the inner walls. I was rather disappointed that it had been treated so badly. Perhaps this was because it was quite close to the road and a car park, and any mistreatment would not have been seen. The best thing was the fab pic our daughter took of us, looking out from one of the holes/windows, which we have framed and put on our wall at home.
