“Cosy and friendly.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013 via mobile

Had a really good visit to the Seven Stars. The food was good and the staff were excellent. Would recommend eating in the restaurant as the bar is very small.

“Quality dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

The Seven Stars is a traditional pub with a seperate restaurant which is comfortable and very well presented. The restaurant offers a wide menu choice and caters for most tastes. I had the goats cheese for starters which was presented in a small terrine with a pudding mix, sundried tomatoes and goats cheese topping. It was very unusual and absolutely divine, my partner had garlic mushrooms which were about average. For mains he had the liver, which was excellent and I had the salmon and noodles. The noodles were fried crispy and arranged in a high peak on top of the salmon, which looked good but tricky to try and eat! The dish was also presented with red cabbage which again was delicious. For desert we had sticky toffee pudding - worth a trip to the restaurant just for this.
For a quality meal in a nice romantic setting this is a great place to eat.

“Top Marks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Our second visit was just as good as the first so its no fluke. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and our lunch was served by very helpful staff. When it arrived it was very well presented and was absolutely delicious. Costs were ever so slightly higher than a “pub” lunch but you’ve heard the old adage that you get what you pay for. We were more than happy and will put it on our places to visit regularly list (yes we have one).

“An early evening meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We looked forward to an early meal at The Seven Stars on a Friday evening. We hadn't been for some months, due to various circumstances, but have always found it to be very reliable- fine food and excellent service. We weren't disappointed! Some of our company chose from the daily value special, while others selected from the main menu. The choices are therefore very flexible. We enjoyed a delicious meal and found the staff, as usual, attentive, friendly and helpful, but without hovering constantly in the background!
The retaurant is a very pleasant place to eat and the food represents good quality and value for money. I would recommend it.

“Great early evening meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

We originally booked for 8 for my wife's birthday on Monday 4th feb. Very impressed with the politeness and efficiency. This increased to 13 and each time I called it was no trouble. We took advantage of the early evening deal (9.95 for starter, main and glass of wine/soft drink.). I was expecting small portions but was amazed when they came out as bigger than most good food pubs. Quality was excellent and couldn't fault the service from Joe, Amy and the other delightful waitress. Thoroughly recommend!
