“Lovely little museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

This is only a small place, staffed by a bevy of very pleasant elderly ladies who are all volunteers. It has some very good exhibits and is full of information on local history. Well worth a visit and the entry fee.

“Interesting seaside museum for locals and holiday makers.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

This heritage centre is opposite Teignmouth railway centre, it is only a few years old and has many interesting artefacts of Teignmouth and the surrounding area, and includes the history of how Teignmouth came into being. It is suitable for all ages with items that will remind you of your childhood and also some history of Muse, the world famous award winning rock band who went to the local senior school and who support the Helen Foundation a local arts and drama charity.. Friendly informative staff who are willing to answer any questions and often there are other events taking place. Amazingly it is also very reasonably priced and close to the town centre where you can visit some of the buildings , ie. W.H.Smiths which used to be the Teignmouth library and the building is still in use. The library sign is over the door of the building. Look around Teignmouth and match it to the history found in the centre. Good fun for all ages

“Don't miss this Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This museum is a real gem. Beautifully designed building and well presented and engaging exhibitions, interactive opportunities for the whole family. Plenty of variety in terms of workshops, lectures, family activities and evening classes throughout the year. Staffed in part by knowledgeable volunteers.
A lovely surprise is the 'Top Deck'. Do visit; you will not be disappointed.

“Very Good Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The displays are informative and well laid out, blending t he old with the new ranging from a Victorian bathing hut to a guitar from the local rock band Muse.very easy to find opposite the railway station, and near a car park.It also has a lift which helps with disabled access.During the year there are a number of events and lectures with special displays in the museum.
For children there is a Punch and Judy Stand including the puppets. The Museum caters for all ages.

“Neat and Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

A small but informative museum, well presented and enjoyable to walk around. Friendly staff.
Probably the smallest museum I have visited but found many facts I wasn't aware of previously.
I will return with my grandchildren in the next couple of weeks.
