“Best place in Teignmouth for breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

Always a good breakfast, good quality local ingredients butchers sausages and bacon, craft bakery bread all at average prices, you could pay the same in a local supermarket for.much inferior ingredients and no atmosphere. If you're hungry in Teignmouth in the morning this is the place to go.

“Best for breakfast and brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

Best for breakfasts and brunch including full, low carb, mini and vegetarian. Good selection of snacks and daily specials. Staff are always friendly, welcoming and efficient (although note that food is home cooked and this is not a fast food restaurant). Books, magazines and board games are provided. In the winter you can snuggle up on the sofa next to the log fire. Regular science café evenings are held with speakers from local universities. A great place to relax especially on Sunday mornings. Only one thing needs to be changed to gain an excellent rating - the coffee!

“Lovely place!”

We went at the last minute as a large group and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating. The atmosphere was really nice and The food was pretty good and quite reasonably priced.

“Very good breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

We went to the cafe at lunchtime great choice of food but the breakfast was fresh cooked and was very good value. The service was good, newspapers were provided for customers, children and dogs welcome. We also tried the the lunchtime menu, their speciality panninis were excellent.

“Nice place, do make the effort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Had breakfast with the family. Regular fare, done nicely in a very pleasant surrounding. My wife, who is challenging at the best of times, had her regular food cooked very differently, as she does; she is extreme about her diet and as a result falls out with most restaurants. They took it all in their stride, coming back regularly to check that they were doing it correctly and then still smiling when it went back for a little more effort.

Not many places do it with a smile, this one did. Well done.
