Bright & stylish but not pretentious & not expensive when you see what is on offer in terms of quality and service. The only problem was making a choice (& while I did I tucked into the chefs own scrummy fresh bread). One of our party had had a superb steak and one had hake with spring onion & cheddar mash. Two of us had grilled haddock with sautéed samphire & pommes frites, it was fantastic whichI did not think could be topped. I was wrong and went on to enjoy the best strawberry & raspberry pavlova I have had in years, meringue to die for.
It is a shame we were only in the area for the weekend but it is a definite for a revisit when we are back that way
