“Terrific”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Had a great week all inclusive at this hotel 30th July -6th August. Room clean and tidy. Staff polite and eager to please. Super beach location. Food was good and plentiful. Evening entertainment was above average. Some of the other guests quite rude.....letting doors swing back, jostling, stepping on toes and not saying sorry. Some guests going to bar with all inclusive cards and just saying beer wine cola etc and not even saying please. Plenty of sunbeds and chairs as well. Would go back

Just returned and loved it. We have stayed here several times and have always had a good experience.
Unfotunately my credit card was charged three times because the machine was faulty. The staff couldn't have done any more. They were brilliant. A special thanks to Anna, Fernando and Conrad.
The room was clean and fresh. More toiletries than you could ever use. Thankyou Monica x
The bar staff are brilliant. They have just forgotten to tell their faces that they are happy. A big thanks to Tony, Daniel and George.
On Mum's birthday I was upset that I couldn't take her out for a special meal to celebrate her 75th (because of the credit card situation). In comes Jamie in the restaurant. Good sparkling wine on the table with ice bucket and all the dressings - he even came out with a cake and candles. We love you Jamie x
We have already booked to go back in October with friends.
If you want a cheap and cheerful holiday - BOOK NOW!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view. Back rooms overlook railwayline

We had a great holiday at Top Royal Sun Suites,The hotel was spotless food was good and the staff are brilliant and nothing is a problem. Our room was lovely with a flat screen t.v, and well needed air conditioning. Manell on reception was brilliant and was happy to help with anything we needed. We would definately go back.

We spent 7 nights all inclusive. This hotel has received negative reviews, however our stay was a very positive experience from check in. The staff were all very pleasant and polite. A special mention should be given to Konrad at reception for his friendliness and enthusiasm and Jonathan in the outside bar area for his industriousness. The food was perfectly acceptable with varied meat and fish dishes, fresh fruit and puddings each day. There was plenty choice for breakfast, lunch and evening meal - anybody who complains about the food must be very fastidious. Although our room was basic, it was very clean with sheets and towels changed daily. H top hotels provide a free shuttle bus which we used to visit other areas of the costa brava.( NOTE- you must book the day before). Lunch is provided at each H top hotel you visit in each area. By far the best feature of Royal Sun is the beach front location. The only negative aspect was the card scheme for all inclusive guests. Only one drink allowed per card. It is understandable, however hearty drinkers may get fed up standing to queue. We do plan to return in the future though.

Dear client

When booking our hotel you can choose from different options: if what you want is not carrying any money with you, you can book our “all inclusive” option, that would give you acces to food and drinks without limit until midnight. If you book half board without any drink included you have to pay for the drinks, as it happens anywhere. Also, if you only eat kosher food our food selection is indeed more limited for you than for any client without that peculiarity.
On the other hand, I would like to make a couple of corrections: there is cheese in our breakfast menu, and we do have a towel service for the beach (it is a free service).

We stayed here for 4 nights all inclusive, price was very reasonable as we booked 3 days before! On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and tidy. We ate in the restaurant, and like previous reviews have said it was pretty bad; this was an understatement. The pasta and various other dishes were swimming in grease and no clear labels to what the dishes were. The general quality of all food was poor, therefore we ate out for lunch and dinner most of the time after. The bar and waiting staff were varied as some were really pleasant but others were slightly rude and unwelcoming. However, the house wines were excellent and we made the most of these being all inclusive! On the plus side, the maid service was brilliant and our room was cleaned and replenished every day. Furtheremore, the location is amazing as you are right on the beach and the views from our room were exquisite. Overall it was an enjoyable holiday and we would recommend the hotel but not the food!

We thank you for both your positive comments and also for the critics, as we consider that that is the best way to find out our points to be improved. We hope to see you in the future as we would like you to try our restaurant again and hopefully change your mind regarding our food.

We have been to this hotel 3 times & over the 3 years we have been we have noticed a decline on many things, the entertainment gets less and less, year one we went to the medieval night at no charge accept for the cost of the transport no problem with that,a very good show.the second year we had a children's German foot ball team staying & how unruly they were no body were controlling them my wife who was sitting on the loafer in the reception was knocked flying by two boy fighting & there minders just look & did nothing, this year it was worse food repetitiousness chicken or pork, plastic tumblers for drinks that looked they had seen better days, yes the hotel was clean, the rooms were OK,although we found a sock under the bed that did not belong to us,our room was on the first floor by the concrete swimming pool and it was very noisy in the day time,as we are in our 70s we like a siesta after lunch,we asked to be moved but was told there were no other rooms available, there was a group of very noisy adults who would sit out side till the early hours of the night,I have read people say you get what you pay for & £800.00 is not a bad price we stayed at REMAR player & found it was no worse & cheeper .

Dear Mr Anthony,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Trip Advisor community. We would like to let you know that the clients in all inclusive still have a special price not only for the medieval night, but for every excursion offered. Also we have opened a new restaurant & beach club next to the hotel, and our clients have a special 20% discount for drinks. Please contact our booking department if you decide to come again (as we hope); we will make sure that you get a nice room in a quiet area with a nice view.

Best regards
