Sunningdale Village is a small resort with exceptionally friendly staff. The complex is made up of a circle of two story apartments each with garden and garden furniture or balcony. 3 of us stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Everything you could need was provided including dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. It wasn't particularly hot when we went but the fan in the living room wasn't able to cool the room to a comfortable temperature at night. Really could benefit from air conditioning. The bed in the bedroom was so hard that neither of my travelling companions slept well. There is a TV in the room with all the main channels including 5 and the Disney Channel.
The gardens were very well kept as was the pool. The pool is divided into two halves with one half having depths of 1.4 meters and the other being 2 meters. I was pleasantly surprised that the pool was very warm. Sun beds were plentiful and you can get one easily any time of the day. The resort provide pool towels at no cost. As pervious reviews state the airplanes are frequent and low but you really do get used to them quickly. If you are sitting on the right hand side of the plane you will see Sunningdale as you come into land.
The on site restaurant, although a few pounds more expensive than those locally served food which was of a very good quality. The little on site does bake fresh croissants in the morning but these were sold out by 8.30 every day.
All staff without exception were friendly with a good level of English but really do appreciate it if you try to communicate in Spanish.
There is a courtesy bed that runs infrequently to Los Cristianos. It is cheap but you might need to find other ways of getting back if you want to return between 1pm and 6 pm. Taxi journey is about €17 -€20.
Locally there is very little to do. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and there are some a 10-15 minute walk away in San Blas which has a delightful buzzing square with several good restaurants but that is about all. Los Abrigos took us about 30 minutes to walk to along the coast. Here there are more restaurants but again not a huge amount. There are no bathing beaches nearby.
Would I go back again? Probably not due to the location but I have no complaints with Sunningdale.
