Got A wonderful surprise on arrival to find that most off the staff had moved over from the Jacaranda Hotel to the Sandos San Blas.Fab hotel was unique! The reception staff was very friendly and all the waiters & waitresses at the restaurants also the pool bar are brillaint nothing is a problem very help full, also our maid was fantastic liked their manner and friendlyness they are a credit to management that trained them. The food was great and in good guality and we enjoyed the all inclusive arrangement. During the evening we enjoyed our drink next to the main pool room B180, 10pm Adult Entertainment was good sorry we missed Beatles Tribute act on last night, will definately be back.........

Also had a fab afternoon at Spa with excellent treatments.

Also noticed hotel is very Wheelchair Friendly for easy access.

Only down side l heard was from young family saying that kids play park is fantastic however maybe should be covered overhead for shade and cooler for kids to play in...maybe something hotel can take on board

Room Tip: Room on the lake side is quieter, also good if you have young kids near till kids play park.

Having spent week here I really can't see that some previous reviewers stayed at the same hotel. On arrival (arriving 3 hours late, thanks Thomas Cook!) we were promptly shown to our room and shown where we could go to get our meal.

Hotel in general -

Really well presented, this isn't a small place but due to its design it feels quite compact which is nice. The whole hotel was kept clean and tidy at all times. There are lots of comfy seats to sit on in the main building and a nice bar area which has a nice outside seating area. As stated there are 8 pools, 2 of them adult only which were nice and quiet, 2 larger noisier pools although not so noisy as to be off putting. There are also some shallow child specific pools. We always found a sun bed even though the perennial problem of sun bed reserving happens!!

Room -

The room we had was very spacious and over looked the lake. It had two beds pushed together with a sofa and large spa bath with separate shower and toilet. There was also a large balcony with chairs and tables.

Food -

Having stayed all inclusively before I can safely say this is some of the nicest and varied food I've had AI in Europe. There was a massive selection that was always freshly prepared. There is an outside seating area which was lovely however the inside areas were nice too and again there was an adults only section.

We also went to the La Proa a la carte restaurant which was superb, 4 courses all cooked to perfection.

Staff -

We found every single member of staff to be very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We never had to wait for drinks to be topped up or plates to be cleared.

Area -

Not much to do, Los Abrigos itself is quite small but has some nice mainly fish restaurants dotted around the harbour area. There is a shopping area (San Blas) out of the back of the hotel and to the right where there are a few more shops and restaurants.

Overall this is a very nice hotel and I have high standards when it comes to hotels and especially the food. It is only 15 mins from the airport which is great and the aircraft noise isn't an issue.

So,san pas to san blas" in Greek language means:if you go to san blas you will experience the above..
I had a very nice experience at Sandos San Blas. The hotel was unique! The reception staff was very friendly and all the other waiters at the restaurants.I liked their professionalism.
The food was great and in good guality and we enjoyed the all inclusive arrangement. During the evening we enjoyed our drink next to the main pool. It wasnt so difficult to walk from the reception to the restaurants..on the contrary it was perfect. The exersice on the water at the pool was unbelievable, and i have never lost one lesson of it! My room on the second floor had a unique view to the sea & pools. So i will definitely recommend the Hotel.

I have stayed in the San Blas on four occasions in the past two years so I feel it is about time I write a review.
Firstly the reasons I have always enjoyed my stay:
The bedrooms are 5* in terms of comfort - Black out blinds & quiet make for a good nights sleep, bathrooms are so well appointed nothing has been forgotten - toothbrushes, combs, shaving sets, bathrobes, slippers etc. TV has good variety of channels if one chooses to spend time watching (BBC, Channel 4 if you want english channels).
The hotel has 8 pools which ensures that no matter what kind of holiday you desire you will probably find a spot that suits your needs (though if you are looking for a 24/7 party look elsewhere). None of the pools are busy and vary from lap pool to a pool that you can just sit it to cool down. Peace and quiet can be found by the pools closest reception and the larger pool probably more suited to groups and parents with children.
I have seen many reviewers complain about the distance from the rooms to reception & restaurants and can only guess that none of these have ventured outside of the complex during their stay.... Well I always do. There are some wonderful cliff walks - the Marina and beyond to the right outside the back gate and the lovely fishing village and the wild expanse beyond to the left. An absolute delight for walkers.
All good so far but there are a few improvements which could make a good hotel great:
There is a good variety of food but the quality is more 3.5* than 5*.
The Coffee is awful though has improved slightly on my last visit. Red wine in the self service restaurant is always served chilled for some unknown reason - same wine can be had in lobby bar at room temp.
The entertainment in the evenings is not great for adults - I cannot understand why the hotel has kids disco at 20.45 outside of school holidays. The music at 20.00 was normally enjoyable but meant that I had to schedule my dinner to be gone from the restaurant by 20.45 to avoid vile kids disco.
The hotel seems to pre allocate rooms and any room requests I have made have never been granted always been told 'we are fully booked'.
All in all though I will be returning because i've always had a relaxing break at the San Blas.

Room Tip: No point requesting specific room because it won't be granted.

We would like to thank you specially for being so loyalty to Sandos San Blas, there is nothing better for an hotelier than meeting familiar faces around the complex. It is our real pleasure to read all your positive statements about your stay in our hotel.
About your suggestions, yes you are right, normally our red white is served a bit chilled, but always following our major guest´s feedback, nevertheless we will be very happy to serve you red wine at room temp. when required. Once again you are right about the room requests; we normally cannot confirm any specific room but you can be sure that we will do our utmost to meet your requests.

Even though this hotel is a few km from the airport, if you are looking for a hotel to relax and chill out then this is the hotel for you, with its salt water pools, generous drinks and activities, they really know how to make your stay special. We had booked just a regular room but had emailed the hotel and asked for a sea view room with inter connecting rooms for us and our friends, and on a high floor - we got all our wishes and didn't pay a penny more which was amazing. The food for a hotel is of a very high standard, yes it can be similar dishes each day but it is an all inclusive hotel. If you are staying here and wish to go into the reports then either hire a car at the airport or make use of the free shuttle to playa de las America or Los cristianos, I would defo go backs for a sneaky week ;-)

This was our first trip to Tenerife as well as our first 'all inclusive' We flew from Leeds/Bradford with Jet 2 and booked this resort through Expedia. Unfortunately, the young staff on our out bound flight were nothing more than rude and clearly us passengers simply got in the way! Such a shame that two staff gave us such a bad impression of Jet2. Our return flight was completely different but be warned there is no entertainment especially if you are travelling with kids!
We got a cab from the airport, very easy and cost around 12 euros (We gave him 15 and he was more than happy!)
Hotel check in was very quick and easy. The receptionist was most helpful. We'd booked a suite 468/7 which, in our opinion was perfect. Very quiet, spacious and more than big enough! In fact we barely used the lounge area and balcony. It was cleaned daily to a very high standard. Plenty of toiletries.
We thought the food very good. Massive choice, plenty of fresh fish, salads etc. If you wanted to eat and drink all day, you could! Cava and rose wine my favorite!
We preferred the pool(s) by the buffet, as there seemed to be more atmosphere and you didn't feel like you were in a large hotel.
Our meal in the restaurant was very enjoyable (even though we didn't purchase anything extra!) Our waiter was cheerful and attentive. A pleasant change from the hustle and bustle of the buffet.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at San Blas and our first all inclusive experience-can't wait to go back!
Having said that I can't imagine what going to a 3 star all inclusive!!! call me a snob!

Room Tip: Our room over looked the boating lake. Room 467 & 8 on the corner. We decided this was the best...
