The hotel was a short distance from airport, about 10 to 15 minutes, so i would advise a taxi, however, we went with a coach and was first off, great, but remember you have to wait for the rest of the coach load, so next time we'll go by taxi. The hotel is very large and very clean. It is suitable for abled and disabled as lifts, walkways and stairs available. Our room was spacious with 2 double beds, flat screen tv, bathroom was very contemporary with bath whirlpool which i tried once with lots of bubbles. The maid kept the room very clean and replenished towels etc as we required.
Food was varied, and plenty of meats, fish, salad, fruit, pastries, cakes, ice cream, pasta, pizzas, chips, canarian potatoes, sauces, etc so something for all tastes. In fact, breakfast, lunch, evening meal was well catered for, I also heard lots of compliments and rarely a complaint. However, there are a few small villages nearby if you want to venture out to a bar or restaurant.
Entertainment in the Magma room was hit and miss, however, to be fair we only went 2 evenings. We loved to sit up at the lobby bar at the verranda overlookig pools and the sea, but be warned this gets busy and it can be difficult to get a seat.
The service was good in all areas, we never had a problem. A tip here and there helps, especially at the bars. Cristos at pool bar was always friendly and Hector.
The environmental/history tour was good and value for money, however, i think they should offer 2 tours, one for the the more abled (the inside and outside tour) and one for people with mobility problems or families with babies/toddlers (the inside tour).
We met lovely people from Sweden, France, Spain and Britain. We found the majority of people courteous and polite.
It was my birthday whilst there (Nov 5th) and when got back to our room on the day, the hotel had sent a lovely chocolate cake to the room with a candle and Happy Birthday' on it. Nice touch. We would definately put this on our list of 'go again' because it ticked alot of boxes. And at £454 AI each for a week was excellent value.
We emailed hotel and asked for either a sea view or pool view, we could barely see the pools as two...

We would like to thank you for taking the time to write about your last experience here with us at Sandos San Blas Hotel Reserva Ambiental & Golf.
It was very pleasant to read all your positive comments about the rooms, food both in quality and variety, cleanliness, distance from the airport, that the hotel is so suitable for disabled people, the lobby bar, the service, the environmental reserve tour, the birthday detail, and of course, as you said, “the excellent value for money”.
We only want you to know that yes we do have two different tours options, only museum & tunnel (5 €) and the whole tour (7,5 €).
Once again, thank you for your positive comments and suggestions, they all are really helpful to keep on improving, and of course we would like to encourage you to visit our website and book your next holiday and transfers from airport at the best price.
