Situated in Amarilla Golf ( next to Gulf de Sur). Can be a little tricky to initally locate the resort as you have to travel via the Industrial site to get there, but once there it is very easy to move around. A car is recommended unless you dont intend to travel around much. The area is mainly made up of golfing resorts, there is some construction still going on but its was not noisy at all..if fact its was progressing slowly. The area is quite and safe great for walks away from all the hustle that Playa Americas and Los Cristionas offers...
The resort was confortable, we had a 2 bed that offered ample space for 2 adults and 2 young children. The staff were curtious and helpful. We rented an appartment, however there are owners on site too. The apartment was clean, linen and towels changed once in a weekly stay. TV stations on offer included BBC and Sky Sports. There is a local Chinese take away across the road, along with serveral Bars that played all the Sports events from England, the shop acorss the road provided everything you need, but is very expensive, would recommend the Mercardo in the industrial area for more value for money.... Pool area was clean and provided a childrens pool area on one side. The resport is very close ( about 10 mins ) from the South Airport so there is a constant flow of aircraft noise - the resort falls under the main flight path... this provided great entainment for the kids.. There is a childrens play area with slides and swings, a kids room for painting etc and internet access..
We hired a car and found this to be a good location to get to all the areas we wanted to.
There is no decent beech within walking distance from the resort, so we spent a lot of time driving to the beeches in LC and PdeA. This suited us as we got to hope beeches.
I would recommend Loro Parque as a day trip, its all day event but the kids loved the Dolphin and Sea Lion shows...
In general a comfortable location, in a good resort. Suits familes or elderly people, would not really recommend for young adults due to the lack of entertainment ( unless you like golf ). You will need a car. Would I stay again ? with the family - maybe Yes, but not for the price we paid.
