“Fantastic holiday!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

I stayed here with my sister in July 2013 on an all inclusive basis. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel. The room was excellent with lovely views and was cleaned to a high standard. All rooms have a great view. There was a good variety of food and the pool area was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely take a trip to Puerto Mogan that is easily reached by water taxi.

If you are due to stay at this hotel then you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: All rooms have a fantastic view. We stayed in Block 2, which was excellent but Block 1 was closer to...

Again, we flew Ryanair and were early both inward and outward bound. No complaints there for the 6th year in a row. Returned here to the GPR after a year and a half, and were not disappointed. We were A/I this time, and it MAY be that this is a better option these days with the more marginally remote location of the hotel, to the centre of Puerto Rico, and the other various restaurants which are on the front. The room last time was expansive but 'we won a watch' with the room this time with the sun all day, and a glass front to the balcony to admire the sandy beach, and the various boats passing. We were greeted for lunch by Jorge (AKA: Geordie), and as with him, and all the staff, they oozed a genuine warmth to their welcome. The hot food could have been hotter on occasions, but we were never spoilt for choice. There is still an element of people who still refuse to dress for dinner and even get away with shorts, and this could be more rigorously enforced by the staff, or confine them to the end of the dining room. The cleanliness was excellent also, with clean towels and bedding every day. It was maybe just me, but on the second visit, I noted more the sheer quality of the hotel, the thickness of the walls and the doors to give that special degree of privacy. Certainly five stars for that. If we had any complaint at all, it was the same as the last time. The quality of the evening show's were a hit or a miss. (For the time of year we visited May - the mid September, there were not many children, and even at (60) would have enjoyed a low key / lower noise disco with Abba , Queen, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart etc themed nights to have the resident's dancing. Spinning plates and castanets' are maybe just a bridge too far for me. However, we will certainly return, and would thoroughly recommend the hotel, as we have in the past.

Room Tip: All room face the sea, so its up to the individual if they wish to be on the east or west side of th...

Visited this hotel in June, the hotel itself is beautifull, a very good welcome on our arrival, chamagne and orange offered. Georgeous pools! Food was out of this world, all kinds of foods and salads to choose from. Location is alright for a quiet holiday, but if you wanted to go into puerto rico at night you would have to get a taxi.
All rooms are sea view, plenty of space in bedroom and a big balcony... Perfect.

Entertaiment was ok at night, bit boring. Day time activities was great, only downfall was the same activities every day! Took part it the pool bingo every day, great fun. Won a bottle of champagne on my last day. The staff was great with people during the day, great laugh when you joined in with activities.

Overall amazing hotel, but would not be visiting Gran Canaria again as there is not much to do compared to my second home Tenerife!

We booked this hotel to renew our wedding vows. We stayed from the 30th July- 6 August. We are a family of 5, 18 year old daughter and two boys 16 and 9. We all loved it, it was the first holiday we felt was too short. The rooms were clean, spacious and had beautiful views off the beach. The staff were always friendly and happy to help. We were all inclusive which was great and if kids missed breakfast that enjoyed pizza and chips at the pool snack bar. The pools and spa area were very relaxing never over crowded. The boys loved playing ping pong and hubby enjoyed the pool bingo. The evening entertainment was relaxing and funny.

We would like to say a special thank you to our photographer Andrea. He made our holiday so special and gave us memories for life. We wanted to renew our wedding vows on our 20th Anniversary which was on the 1st of August. We spoke to reception as we wanted pictures. We met Andrea the day before and spoke about having pictures on the beach to capture our special day. On the day we met at the lobby at 7.30 Andrea says " hold on I have 4 helpers!" he had organised 4 bridesmaids, who were all dressed in lovely dresses, had boxes of flowers. We went down to the beach and they made a beautiful flower heart for us to renew our vows. We had lots of beautiful pictures he spent the whole evening with us. The next day he took more pictures by the pool and in the evening we had some more family pics. He went out of his way to make our holiday one to remember!!! Thank you so much.

We would definitely stay here again!!

We went as a family of 4, with 2 sons (20/17). The purpose of the holiday was to relax and unwind after a busy year for all of us and that is certainly what we did. The hotel was great, the food plentiful and mixed in variety (and rarely quality), and as we were All inclusive, when the boys missed breakfast they could have a snack in the snack bar late morning, or a feast at lunchtime. I can only agree with other reviewers over the cleanliness of the hotel, the great attitude of the staff, especially the very busy waiters and nothing was too much trouble. We will return.

Stayed for 2 weeks at the beginning of August 2013 and could have easily stayed for a third! The hotel was spotless throughout and the service from all the staff was superb! Room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided. Also no need to bring a beach towel as they are provided at reception and can be changed at any time! The food was excellent although at times it got a bit repetitive but with various food themed nights and an 'a la carte' restaurant on site this wasn't a problem! Would definitely stay here again and can't recommend it enough!
