My husband, two children and I stayed in the Terrazamar June 18th until July 2nd. We booked the Suites through 1800hotls.ie and got a very good deal. When we arrived at the Suites our transfer driver(Viajes Islas Canarias Tours, would thoroughly reccommend them), dropped us at the Sunsuites. The receptionist informed us that the Suites were closed as it was very quiet in Puerto Rico at the moment. We didnt mind as we were on the the sixth floor of the Sunsuites and the views were amazing. The balcony as has been said many times before were huge!! It appeared that the sixth floor balconies were even bigger than the other floors !! We cannot praise these apartments highly enough. They were spotless , a bottle of water in the fridge, a medium sized bottle of washing up liquid also supplied which we were happy with. The bathroom had a big shower , large sink and large mirror with a hairdryer on the wall, mind you it only blew out cool air so you might be a while drying long hair. There was plenty of cupboard space with about eight drawers in the wardrobe, this was in the bedroom which had two single beds and a full lenght mirror on the wall. The sitting room sofa had a bed that you pulled out underneath it, this was grand for our two kids. The kitchen had a microwave, coffee perculator, kettle, toaster and all the bits and bobs you need to cook with. We ate breakfast on the huge balcony every morning, bliss, the sunloungers were great if you didnt feel like hitting the pool. There was no problem with getting a sunbed by the pool any day, there was no-one at all keeping beds! This was a first for us, I know it was quiet but there were still people filling up the beds as the day wore on so it was a relief not to have to rise at dawn and join a sunbed race!!I cannot praise the girls at the pool bar/restaurant enough, they were extremely pleasant ,obliging and seemed to genuinely like working there, and the food was fantastic. We just ate lunch there every day(except days we went on trips etc.,), the club sandwiches, BLTs, pizzas were excellent. The staff on reception were absolutely brilliant, very friendly, helpful , and nothing was too much trouble for them. The older gentleman on reception at night time gave us a big salute every night when we arrived home from the CC in our slightly "happy" state. In the commercial centre I would definitely reccommend the San Miguel, we ate there seven nights out of our 14 thats how good it was , great choice and very reasonable with fantastic staff. La Capricho in the CC was our haunt every night for there fantastic cocktails and icecreams. A special mention to Julio who brought my husband in behind the bar to teach him how to make Mojitos , so that he could do this at home and not miss Puerto Rico too much!! Also good meals at Cabalito de Mar and the small Oscars, a bit pricey but still cheaper than a fancy restaurant here at home.We walked along the seafront over to Amadores which was lovely, we also took the boat over to Puerto Mogan which is a beautiful place, so much so that we took a
taxi over there one night to have a meal in the beautiful setting. Unfortunately it was extremely quiet there, one or two people in most of the restaurants, with some with no-one at all. It was like a ghost town.We ate in an Italian restaurant called La Bruscheta, I would not reccommend you go there hungry. I know it takes time to cook fresh food but well over an hour later there was no sign of our dinner, when it did arrive the portions were very small and the waiters seemed a little snotty towards us. I have whittered on long enough so I will just finish by saying we had a brilliant holiday at the Terrazamar and in Puerto Rico and would give them a big thumbs up.
