we arrived at the el greco on the 2nd march and was impressed with the welcome from the staff and how clean the large reception area is . our room was on the first floor and to us it was the perfect spot, we were on level with the pool and had our own patio area, which was great as didnt have to sit with others around the pool, as had plenty of room for 4 sunbeds. all rooms and communal areas were kept extremely clean and the maids even do your washing up for you. el greco has the best location, as puerto rico is soooooo hilly, for example we walked up to one of the shopping areas [pretty rubbish, wouldnt bother] and you have to walk up around 800 steps!!!. puerto rico is quite a commercial area but has everything we needed as we only went to get some sunshine. although would recommend going to maspolomas on the bus which is only 4 euros return each, where you will find the sand dunes and good shopping. food was good out there even though the euro will kill you, with the bad rate at the mo. would reccomend the el greco resturant downstairs, also the pool bar in the apartments is very nice and good prices. i would stay again, the best apartments ive stayed in

These apartments were good for what they were. Good location right by the sea front, which meant no ridiculous hills to climb! (Puerto Rico is mucho hilly) The pool area was nice, not too busy, always plenty of sun loungers and a decent size pool.
Cleaning staff were great, came back to a clean and tidy room with fresh towels and toilet paper every day.

The room was ok, the living and kitchen area were great and had everything you needed. We had a 2 bed apartment, one very large one and one so small you could touch both walls with your hands out stretched. My boyfriend and I drew the short straw and had the little room, so small we couldn’t keep either of our suitcases in the room; they had to be in the kitchen. The big room was a good size though.

The hotel was a little walk from the so called 'lively bit' but once you've seen one pair of fake sunglasses, you've seen them all. There are some nice little bars right next to El Greco, and Oscars was the best meal we had!

Apart from the small room (which wasn't a massive issue as we were very rarely in it unless fast asleep) the apartments were great for what we paid. We booked 3 weeks before as a last minute and got it as a bit of a bargain, so were happy with what we paid. Be prepared that the Euro will kill you, and when you paying pound for Euro as we did, it is a very expensive resort.
El Greco - Good location, nice staff.

Just spent a wonderful Christmas break in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, having spent a week at the El Greco Apartments, with the 'extended family' consisting of my mother (83 years old), sister (50s) my wife and I (50s) and, daughter plus boyfriend (20s)!
Accomodation was very adequate with staff most pleasant, from the Reception area, Pool deck, Restaurants and Cleaners. Rooms were cleaned every day, beds made and fresh towels etc replaced.
Location perfect - just across from the main beach, harbour area for boat trips and a number of good restaurants nearby. Lovely walk along the coast (15 min) to the Amadores Beach - sheltered and relaxing.
Shopping very tourist orientated, as one would expect, but be very wary of the nearby Electrical Equipment outlets (some 150 meters from the Apartments) where you can be easily duped into purchasing inferior cameras, video camcorders etc. at highly inflated prices!!! Keep your wits about you if you happen to venture into these shops.
Eating out is easy with an array of excellent nearby restaurants - to name a few, I would recommend the El Greco - 'El Cantina', the Greek 'Rhodes Palce' restaurant (50m down from the Apartments) and the 'Cafe Central' in the main Puerto Rico shopping cenre (5 mins walk from El Greco) - good value and excellent food.
I must say that I would highly recommend the El Greco Apartments for their location, quality and friendliness, as they do make it their business to accomodate all and make your stay a pleasant experience.

Stayed here with my family over Christmas. Chose these apartments after reading the reviews here on TripAdvisor.

The property is across the road from the beach. Rooms are serviced every day and are very clean, even the dishes are washed for you.
There are 2 pools, one large pool (semi-heated) although this can be very cold if the sun is not out. Unfortunately the pool is not lit and closes at 7pm. The second small pool is only supposed to be for use by the guests in the bungalows (however not enforced). It is not heated and it was freezing in December (we called it the "Baltic sea"), only the brave could stay in for longer than 5 minutes. There were three of us sharing an apartment and often the tank of hot water would run out before all 3 of us had showered. We had to space out our showers and keep them as short as possible. Try and keep a spare keycard in the reader all the time as the water is heated by electricity which is only on once the card is in the reader. We had Christmas Dinner in Oscars. I must say this was the best restaurant in the area and is well worth the little extra expanse. The food was very good, as was the service. Reservations are recommended for the evenings. There are 2 branches, one downstairs in El Grecco and another in above the row of shops 150 to the right of El Grecco, each is equally good and has the same menu.

Over El Grecco was nice and I would recommend it as a very good choice to stay if you wanted to visit Puerto Rico. That said Puerto Rico is very commercial and 100% geared towards tourists and it is for that reason I would not return there.

We went to Gran Canaria and stayed at the El Greco last week, excellent location right opposite the beach and lots of wonderful restaurants around too.

The apartments were good, well sized and cleaned each day, they did require a EUR150 holding deposit which we were not expecting however.

Only fault was there appears to be a workshop around the back making lots of noise all day long, if you were one of the unfortunate ones who got an apartment with the bedroom at the back rather than the front you would get woken each day rather unpleasantly.

Apart from that, could not fault.
