“Very enjoyable!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Stayed at the Revoli 29th April-6th may. Very clean accommodation, what a thoughtful welcome with a bottle of water in fridge. Staff friendly and helpful. Central to the Marina (5 mins walk down hill) and shopping centre 5 mins uphill. We went for a relaxing week and that's what we got. Puerto Rico a lovely spot and would go back there and would stay at these apartments again. Very fussy hubby and even he didn't have a complaint....A first!!!

Just back home after a wonderful week at the revoli. These apartments are excellent, the staff are amazing, friendly and can't do enough for you, Francis, Esther, Jorge - MJ, Walder at the pool bar / restaurant make your stay extra special. Paco and the team on reception are equally welcoming. Leo the entertainer brings all the guests together with nightly entetainment. He is full of energy and makes all guests feel included through quizes, water aerobics, cash bingo, killer pool, water polo, etc. The Revoli is ideally situated just outside of the centre, so you have beautiful views of the sea and the pool and you are not disturbed by the partying from the commercial centre. Ideally situated for the beach. Excellent, clean and friendly place to stay. Downstairs near the pool area, there is also a supermarket - the prices can be a little pricey but as a guest you get a 10% discount card, but a few minutes up the road there is a cheaper local supermarket. There is also a hairdressers.
Throughout the day there are currently 3 happy hours - 2-3pm,6-7pm and 9-11pm. They are currently in the process of opening another bar for evening entertainment and this shud be opened within the next couple of weeks. The thomson crew are regularly seen at the complex and are really friendly and helpful. There is also a kids club. Myself and my family have been going to the Revoli for at least 8 times and this place has never failed to ensure that we have a brilliant holiday - very recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms have been refurbished within the last couple of years, all equally as nice. some have...

We had a late deal to these apartments and were very happy with the accommodation, the price we paid and the weather. The rooms were very modern and clean and the staff were great. The Revoli is up a steep hill but compared to many others in Puerto Rico it's well placed and accessible. I would suggest a high floor to get a view of the sea. We weren't overly fussed on the resort but had a car and really liked Amadores, which providing you are mobile, is easily walkable, Puerto Mogan which is pretty and the Maspalomas dunes are worthy of a visit. We also drove around the island and saw a different side of Gran Canaria. A problem free holiday!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor and sea view.

The hotel on arrival looks very different to what you would generally expect. The reception is on the top floor with all the rooms/apartments on the 5 floors below. The hotel is cleverly cut into the side of a rock/hill.
The rooms are very modern and must be recently decorated and furnished. A free bottle of water is awaiting as you walk through the door. The beds are large singles that couples can then push together. There is a modern LCD TV in the room that can pick up UK television including Sky Sports for a small charge per day. Wifi is also available for a small charge. The Wifi speed is very good and was suitable for all my work needs.
The swimming pool is located on the ground floor along with the bar, restaurant and the supermarket. The bar sells very well priced local spirits and has 3 happy hours every day where drinks are two for one. You are also able to eat in the comfortable chairs outside the bar. The restaurant offers good food and I must recommend the BBQ night.
The supermarket sells all your basics you require but there are many very local slightly cheaper alternatives.
The pool area is where all the entertainment happens. This year being aptly run by Leo, who makes everyone feel welcome in the hotel, offering various games, quizzes and bingo throughout the day. There are also daily aqua aerobics to be enjoyed and water polo for some competitive action.
The evening entertainment also consists of quizzes and bingo but every night there is also some live entertainment. From an acrobat on a unicycle, a magician; to a highly fun and original Parrot Show!!! The shows are fun and of the highest entertainment value.
The hotel is located 5 minutes from the commercial centre of Puerto Rico, 5-10 mins from the Puerto Rico beach, 15-20 mins from the Amadores beach, and 15 mins from the harbour.
The local area is full of different opportunities to sample different cuisines - Canarian, Spanish, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese to the standard steakhouses, kebab shops and even a fish and chip shop. I would recommend the restaurants along the righthand side of the beach for some quiet, good value and good quality dining. The value. In the bustling commercial centre is very good, but beware of the exorbitant drink prices when you can enjoy a fabulous Chinese Buffett for only €7!!
Would recommend the hotel to anyone, single groups, couples, families and older couples are all catered for and all looked after magnificently!
A big thumbs up to all at the Hotel Revoli

We stayed here in June 2012, with our 2 older children 13 and 18 it was an unusal layout as it gas been carved into the hills but very cleverly done. The apartments were newly refurbished and very modern and clean. It is in an excellent spot as only 5 mins down the hill is the beach and small promenade with restaurants, and 5 mins the opposite way takes you to the commercial centre where all the main restaurants, bars & shops are. This can become a bit 'samey' of an evening but we varied it between the promenade seafront and the centre, the Revoli also had entertainment so we sometimes came back after eating out..earlier entertainment was mini disco which my kids have grown out of, but good for younger children. The entertainment guy was very funny, he did a great job as he was there most of the day around the pool with different activities. Overall we had a nice holiday and would recommend these apartments.

Stayed at the Revoli for a week in August 2009.... Apart from the cockroaches, lizards, and ants that also were spending the week in the apartment with us, we had a good time - mainly due to the fact that we avoided the apartment like the plague, only to sleep there some nights. After informing reception about the cockroaches etc in the apartment, they simply laughed about it and had to be asked three times for them to do something about it. When a maid came to deal with the infestation, she started shouting at myself and my friend in Spanish?! The commercial centre is a 10 minute stroll downhill. Would definitely recommend getting taxi back up the steep hill though. A taxi is only 3-4 euros so is quite cheap. Definately recommend going to Aqualand! I went here with a friend but it seemed more like a hotel more suited to couples in my opinion. Returning to Puerto Rico this year but won't be staying here again!

We stayed for a week last summer and i was really impressed. The hotel was spotless and the staff are really friendly. The entertainment was great and the hotel has great onsite facilities. It is only a short walk from the shopping centre and the beach. Be careful at the shopping centre as the sales people are quite demanding for you to buy stuff and I did get quite upset with how pressurising they are. My tips are just to walk on by and ignore them, and if you are walking past a restaurant just say that you have already eaten:) one place i would recommend is the waikiki bar and restaurant on the right on the beach, just past the shops. The staff here are really nice and treat you well. They give you a little drink after your meal for free and they give the kids lollies.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a sea view otherwise you would be on the ground floor and the top floors are nicer
