It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. It is 5 stars in my book. The service was great, the staff members were very courteous, and the food was very exquisite. I would recommend it to all my family and friends.

I was at this hotel like 7 years ago and I loved the experience. This time I was a litlle bit frustrated. When a hotel belong to a chain, it's better just open when all the things and staff are complete. The rooms weren't bad, but the courtains and the bed blanket are a little "demode". When we arrived at 16h pm they don't have towels for us. The location it's very nice, it's beach front. The social areas are ok. The breakfast was ok, they have cava, but they just have watermelon for fresh fruit, I find the breakfast for a 4 stars hotel a litlle poor. This hotel is very nice for familys. The Aquaplaya it's very nice too.

It's the first time that I got to Playa Senator Hotels, and perhaps has been the last one!
I stayed in this hotel 11 days (15 - 26 July 2007) with my son of 11 years and my husband. The hotel is nice, close to the beach and in a calm and pretty place. The food was varied, but very badly cooked. The rooms were badly clean, with dust and spiders web. The all-inclusive is very beyand the expectations. For example, during the afternoon we do not have notyhing to eat only to drink.
The mejority of the staff are gentle and friend.

  • Liked — The localization.
  • Disliked — The food and the room.

First of all I would like to thank you for your opinion, as thanks to your comments I can know your perception of our product and it is the best way to improve the quality of our service. At the same time I deeply regret that we couldn’t satisfy you during the most appreciated days of the year. YOUR HOLIDAYS.

Concerning your comment about food being badly cooked let me explain that one of our main worries is to serve meals in the correct way. That is why we make a great effort training our staff. Furthermore we have our ‘Show Cooking’ service, with a great variety of meat, fish, vegetables, pancakes and pasta, so that our guests can enjoy the food to their liking.

I regret that we have not been able to satisfy you in such an important matter as the hygiene and the cleanliness not only in the public areas of the hotel (garden, swimming pool, etc…) but also in the guest rooms.

For many years already our cleaning ladies work 4 hours a day, usually between 10.00 and 14.00 h in order to not to disturb guests too early in the morning. Our guests find the room in perfect conditions when they return from a morning swim. Every cleaning lady takes care of a maximum of 8-12 rooms.

We regret you did not contact the reception or the hotel manager – they would have solved this problem immediately. In order to get to know what happened, we would be very grateful if you were so kind as to contact us. We could check the name of your chambermaid by knowing your room number and the date of your stay. In that way we could take the necessary training measures so that it never happened again.

Concerning your comment about our ‘All Inclusive’, I am very sorry that you didn’t like it. We try to be very honest when publishing brochure descriptions and offering well-detailed information of the service we offer. As well we hand out an all inclusive brochure at your arrival. As I was telling you, we give all kind of information about the products contained and as you could notice it is a service that includes first brand products. That’s the reason why afternoon snacks are not included.

We hope to have a new opportunity to welcome you again and to be able to get your satisfaction on next stays, in case you decide to stay among us during the most appreciated days of the year. YOUR HOLIDAYS.

We went on vacation to Playaballena for 1 week in July, and we were very pleased and surprised with this Hotel.
Being at other Hotels in Spain like RIU and BARCELÓ, we were not expecting this hotel to be better, but we were wrong, it is superior in many aspects. Has some fails also, it's not perfect...

So, what we most liked was:

The room: We had a room at the ground floor, with direct access to the pool and gardens. 2 confortable Beds - For 4 people. Very good.

The pool - So nice, for kids and adults!... With water jets, tobogans, different profundities, security, not noisy and beatiful.

The food - We went on all inclusive, and we were very surprised with the quality of the food. Very superior to Riu Chiclana, although it has less diversity (wich is natural and comprehensive). You can find Sea food, many kinds of fish and meat, and the desserts are good (could be better).

What we didn't like very much was:

- The shows are very late (11 p.m. or later...) and very weak!....(for our taste)

- The beach is very narrow, and they just put hamacas and palapas one day before we came home ( 14 July)

- The employees of the hotel do their job, in a very serious way, don't give many smiles!...

- The all inclusive system is a bit complicated to understand inicially, and they don´t have nothing to eat at the afternoon. We didn't find this very fair... AI should be AI...

But, we liked being there and if you're thinking of going to Costa Ballena, This is a very good choice!
