“Who planted the trees?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

Stayed one night. Paid extra for a room with a sea view. The sea was almost visible behind the large trees obstructing the view. Asked for my room to be changed so that I could see the sea, very pleasant girl behind the desk offered me a different room ...... the one next door. I went through the inventory of available rooms until we found one that might offer a partial sea view.
It takes a particular type of genius to plant large trees between a hotel and the seashore. Was this done on purpose to annoy the guests? Who closes the breakfast at 10.00am on a Sunday morning in a holiday resort? I could not help thinking that there is something Fawltyesques about this place
Other than that the hotel is ok, but I would not be bothered staying there again.

Room Tip: Take a lumberjack with you

We visited the hotel on the weekend of 18th may, after travelling around Transylvania we wanted to relax by the beach and swimming pool and this last one was the main point for us for choosing this hotel and it was a bit of a disappointment to be honest as we only had 1 full day to relax and we were told we could not use the swimming pool before 5pm because it was been used for a private event, after 5:30 we went and they told us to wait until everyone had left for which we said NO, "we have been told 5 and 5:30 is more than enough". I won't expect this to happen very often, just our luck.
English is not massively spoken in this part of Romania but at the hotel they will try their best to help you.
Location is very good for the beach but not for the town centre as is a good 20/30mins walk.
On our two night stay they didn't clean our rooms or change towels, shower room is very small and with a curtain which means water everywhere.
Breakfast was good, plenty and at good times, love the coffee!!!!
On the Day we were leaving as it was an early departure they prepared some sandwiches for us which was very much appreciated.
Don't let this put you off, is a good value for money and we visited on a low season which may explain it.

The good thing is that it is near the beach.
The room is tiny, not to mention the bathroom which is extremely small. It has no hairdryer and the shower cabin is not waterproof; there is water on the floow all the time. The furniture on the balcony is old.
For having breakfast you have to queue every morning. Breakfast starts late - at 8 o'clock
In the evening there are some guys who sing at the swimming pool till late in the night, so you cannot keep the window open if you are not a fan of that kind of music.
No bar in the hotel. There are no coffee machines in the hotel, except those for breakfast. If you need a bottle of mineral water or a coffee early in the morning you cannot have it.
The personnel is unkind and indifferent. You have the feeling that you must be very greatful to them because you are there.
the ratio quality/price is very bed.
Certainly, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

Rooms are small and the mobiliar is rustic. Was ok for our needs.
Rooms are advertised with "Lake view" - yes you can see the lake in the distance - but there is no view - your view will be on a construction site.
Bus driver didn't know where the hotel was nor other passengers but we were able to spot it from the bus.
Sheets weren't changed - and the support of the bathroom curtain was falling appart.
I strongly suspect as well that I got ill from the breakfast/juices as mentioned by one of reviewers here.

On the plus side it is very close to the beach , the pool looks greate and the restaurant was fine as well with live music and dance.
Staff was friendly.

The rooms are small but nice. The rooms are all equipped with cable tv, telephone, air condition and refrigerator.
The hotel has a beatutiful location between Mamaia lake and the Black sea. I love the rooms facing the garden with pool and the beaches of the Black sea. These rooms offer the best views.
The hotel offers buffet style breakfast which I really enjoyed.
I recomend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: I think the best rooms are those facing the garden with pool and the beach.

Avoid this hotel at all cost!
- No cleaning unless you put lots of money in their private pockets
- You never get correct amount of money back in restaurant or for any services. They decide their service fee themselves.
- Expect to get ill after eating in the restaurant. No fresh water is being in use in orange juice etc...
