“Perfecto!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

After months of careful research for a place to stay in Tuscany we located what could be described as the perfect Tuscan experience. Surrounded by rolling hills of wine vineyards, olives trees and cypress trees you are surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The building where you stay was originally built in the 1200's, since modernized, provides a perfect chance to experience medieval living with modern amenities. How many people can say they slept where other people have over the last 800 years!! Make sure to sign up for Giulietta's authentic Italian cooking class with her home made wine from the vineyard on her property....... delicioso!!!!! Giulietta was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering any questions about the local area. Could not have asked for a more perfect Tuscan vacation! Will certainly be back again.

Fagiolari (which means beans in Italian) is an exceptional B&B located in a serene valley overlooking groves of olive trees and grape vines. The B&B has all the amenities including spectacular vistas, comfortable beds, clean linens, awesome breakfast buffet, air conditioning, and even a swimming pool. The owner, Julietta, was very personable and attentive. She answered all of our questions and was a tremendous help with local reservations, directions, and sightseeing tips. She also led a cooking lesson that was both simple and wonderful! It is a short (one hour) drive to Florence, but only 15-20 minutes from most everything in the Chianti region. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a private bath and/or patio. Note: you will need a car or some form of transportati...

We stayed at the amazing B&B for 5 lovely nights. It is set in the most stunning surroundings with a lovely pool. A great way to relax and cool after after sight seeing in the local area. Guieletta, the owner is just lovely and really made us feel welcome in her home. She provides lots of written information in the rooms and her directions to nearby places are spot on and verty helpful. She also recommends a number of resturants in the local area and of the ones we tried we were never disappointed.
We also did one of Guieletta's cooking classes and they are great fun. The best bet is eating it afterwards with as much of her own Chianti wine as we wanted. The wine is excellent quality. The town of Panzano is great and very quiet. I would reccommend the Butcher in the village and also wine tasting with Stefano.
I would recommend having a car to get to Fagliori as it is down the end of a long drive and a very bumpy road. Well worth it when you get there. I would highly reccomend this B&B. Thanks Guielletta for a truly amazing holiday.

Room Tip: Hire a car!

Beautiful setting with shady patios scattered about and a lovely pool. However, the owner was...abrupt to say the least. Breakfast was pretty basic. Our room was dark and fairly dingy with an intermittent wifi connection. People staying at a much cheaper B&B up the road have access to the pool ! We were attending a wedding at a nearby villa and had taken over the whole of Fagiolari. Came back from the wedding in a pretty happy state and had a few more drinks. The owner complained that we were keeping her awake! At 1.30 in the morning, when you're on holiday and celebrating a wedding? I don't think so!!! Won't be back. Much better staying in Panzano itself.

The location is perfect: in the heart off Chianti, very quiet at the end of a dirt road, but still close enough to the main road to visit the area. Very nice swimmming pool in the middle off vineyards and olivetrees, a lot off sun, but: lack off deckchairs: only 5 ... definitely not enough. After a day off visisting, everybody wants to relax a bit in the sunshine! Wifi is very good. The owner, Giulietta, although a nice lady, doesn't bother very much with het guests: no explanation about things so see, do and where to eat, you really have to ask for it and that seems to bore her. The rooms: packed with "old" stuff and heaps off books, no place for your own goods, the same thing in the living and breakfast/dining area. And the smell inside: very fuggy, luckily clean. Our room R was sort off a basenment, yes it has two levels, but very small and dark and as said, fuffy - even when you opened the window (on soil from the garden level!). The terrace is not private. Very small bathroom, with good amenities - nothing special at all Lot off parking space. Don't take the private cooking lessons: to expensivce for what you get.

Room Tip: Don't take room R, the fuffy problem seems to be everywhere.

We stayed atFagiolari for 5 wonderful nights. The cooking class was fun and absolutely tastey. The room was cozy and comfortable. Our bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were healthy and good! We enjoyed the gardens the tranquility and the hospitality we receceived from Giulieta. This bed and breakfast is an absolute treat and an experience that we will never forget. Thank you Giulieta!

We stayed in may for several days. Guilletta owns the place and is very lovely. The grounds of the estate are spectacular. The view from the pool is breathtaking and well worth sitting and admiring with a glass of wine.
You absolutely need a car to get there and to go around tuscany.
Take a cooking class with guilletta, it is a great evening. And she is a fantastic cook.
The slight down side was the beds. The were 2 single beds put together and completely dipped in the middle. And you would always fall into the centre. Bad neck after that.
Breakfast is simple, but so is everywhere in Italy I found. Toast, cereal, ham/ cheese, tea & coffee. With apples and oranges. But still nice.
Overall lovely. Thank you
