I have been several times with clients at Dario's for the "mac Dario" which I found an xcellent experience. two of us went today for the "officina della Bistecca" to eat good meat and experience dario's best offering.
I have to say that the only thing going for it is the atmosphere, the rest of it was mediocre, instead of 1 pm The lunch started late, at 140 pm I asked the guy responsible, that is was very late and we were hungry, he replied that we were waiting for others and went on to say that he was the one decidsing when we start. this is quite a character that until then was entertaini, the meat grilling started at 1,45, but only because I complained. the tartare was good,20 minutes later they grilled what looked iooked skirt stead, we were sitting next to the grill, they cut it but did not give us any, the snooty young waiter said it was not for us, A set menu? they gave us recycled tartare poorly grilled,. 25 minutes later they arrived with the ribstead a thick chunck basically raw, I like very rare meat but that was not cooked. anther 30 minutes they came with rumpsteak, again poorly grilled, some got the outside and most got raw meat agaian. my frind asked the snooty waiter for a pice of the outside stak that had just been cut , he said no, it was fotr the othe end of the table ,gave them 4 pieces and nothing to my friend.at three pm, they had just started grilling the 10 cm thick steaks, that was enough! It is definetly not worth 50 euro, the wine is a house wine, the meat was a small portion, there is no pasta and no appetizers to speak of,.the dessert i angel cake. for 50 euro the service must be prompt.and the food much better than that , darios' show is not worth 50 euro. I will never go there again
