“Absolutely Stunning”

This home will beat all expectations you might have. The pictures are lovely but don't begin to capture the beauty of the house or the countryside. Bernie & Trix greeted us and we all felt like we had known them forever. They welcomed us with true Irish warmth and hospitality. The views are stunning and the towns of Tullah & Feakle were just what we were looking for! Thank you for everything. I hope to be able to come back again one day soon. “Such lovely memories”

It's our last night in Ireland, and we are feeling bittersweet. After two months here, we have so many lovely memories of this place and we are sad to say goodbye; on the other hand, we have an exciting three weeks of touring Europe ahead of us and a new life awaiting us in the US. We'd like to share with you some of our favorite things about our experience in the house. Our top three are: Bernie, Bernie, and Bernie! She was so generous with her time, patient with our naive questions, and resourceful in finding solutions to any issues we had. She cleaned the house wonderfully each week and made sure that no desire of ours went unmet. Trix was another great person and resource. She gave us great advice about what to do, invited us to her house and the pub, took exquisite care of the plants, mowed the lawn, and handled the massive amounts of recycling, compost, and trash that we generated. Ayessa has a gift with children. We trusted her immediately to care for our little boy and he fell in love with her just as quick. She exhibited gracefulness and tenderness that I am not sure we can match. The house was comfy, spacious, and warm. The view was breathtaking and we watched every sunset in awe. We loved watching our son enjoy the freedom to move around, and we were thrilled with having room to spare. We had a blast in the kitchen, and also enjoyed snuggling up in all the nooks and crannies with a book. We would recommend the house to our friends and would be happy to be a reference. (Bernie, Trix and Ayessa are part of the home's back-up team should you want or need their services!)

“Don't hesitate to rent this home!"”

The pictures and description of this home are lovely, but what they can't capture is the charm of Ireland, or of Glendree itself, or of its people. From Bernie, who greeted us with coffee and cookies, to the home itself which allowed us to relax after a long flight. Then there was Trix who allowed my daughter to ride a horse while she and I chatted comfortably. There is something magical about this home and its location. It is perfectly located for traveling both locally and nationally to beautiful attractions. But is it also quietly nestled in a remote spot perfect for relaxation. Don't hesitate to rent this home. We thank Trix, Bernie and Fran for making our dream vacation a reality!!! With any luck, we'll visit again

“Fantastic house in the East Clare countryside”

Our family of nine, including four members over 70, had a great time in this beautiful house. The setting was stunning and close to the village (Feakle) where three family members' grandfather was born. It was wonderful to come home to the house and relax after a long day of touring the area--our destinations included the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Galway, Clonmacnoise and Portumna, and Dingle. The house is quite large and we were able to fit with room to spare. The kitchen was well appointed and we used it for breakfasts and some dinners. Dealing with the owner, Fran, and her local caretaker, Bernie, was terrific. If you go, definitely check out the Irish music sessions at Peppers, a local pub in Feakle. The owner will even come and pick up your party in his van to transport you to and from the pub.
