Description: This restaurant is located on an incredible scenic cape of Zakynthos. The cuisine of the restaurant offers mainly fish food but also has a great variety of salads and other types of food. The majority of ingredients used for the food are fresh and produced in Zakynthos by local family business who live in the area. The best part is that your enjoy your lunch or dinner in an extraordinary courtyard next to the sea.

“Stunning setting. Awful food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Mikro Nisi must be one of the most perfectly situated restaurants have ever eaten. It is idyllic. A gorgeous restaurant perched on a little cliff overlooking crystal clear blue seas with boats sailing in and out. No amount of photography could capture how beautiful the scenery is from this restaurant. Now for the bad bits. On the day we dined here we were informed before we ordered that 3 of the 7 kitchen staff had taken ill and that all orders were delayed by 30 mins. As we had such gorgeous views - we decided to order and wait - we weren't rushing anywhere after all. The food arrived 45 mins after ordering - which was Ok as we were warned.

My son had a huge plate of Calamari - which looked fab. I could have chewed a Dunlop tyre easier - it was like the toughest rubber imaginable. We ordered a variety of little dishes - courgettes were cold, soggy and greasy - again inedible. We also had the most unusual dish - local sausage pie - which were frankfurters rolled in sweet pastry - again inedible. We did have a nice baked spaghetti and a tuna salad plus lots and lots or bread.

I feel the waiter knew the meal was a disaster - as he gave us a 10% discount!!!!

I don't know if the food is always this bad or perhaps it was a result of being short staffed.

Beautiful setting - awful food.

“Stunning in every way... Don't miss it...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2012

This restaurant is truly a little slice of paradise on earth... we have dined here (very well) on 4 occasions. Its a small family (charming people) run place on the way out to the boats that take you to the blue caves on the top tip of the island. its an open plan restuarant (with plenty of shade) set back from the road and sits just above the most idylic little bay that dips in perfectly back from the Ionian sea. There are usually 2 or 3 boats moored there and you can see the reflection of the boats at the bottom of the perfectly blue sea bed
We went as family (3 kids) and were treated really well. I urge you to have the special offer, which will be a simple fish grilled with some salad or vegetables. Fish does not come any fresher than this and it was deliscious!
Afterwards you can make your way down to the little bay where there is a 4m wide beach (family sized) from which you can go for an after dinner dip and there is some of the finest snorkeling in Zante.
Zante is a very beautiful island (as long you avoid the tourist strips) and it provided my family and I with the most perect holiday and this was a true highlight of our trip... try it and you'll love it!

“Fantastic meal !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012

We kept eating at mikro nisi throughout our holiday, as the food was simply terrific ! It's a family run business with fresh fish and locally sourced ingredients. The prices were very reasonable and the overall atmosphere was great! The restaurant is right above a lovely cove so you can enjoy a quick dip before lunch.
