Mikro Nisi must be one of the most perfectly situated restaurants have ever eaten. It is idyllic. A gorgeous restaurant perched on a little cliff overlooking crystal clear blue seas with boats sailing in and out. No amount of photography could capture how beautiful the scenery is from this restaurant. Now for the bad bits. On the day we dined here we were informed before we ordered that 3 of the 7 kitchen staff had taken ill and that all orders were delayed by 30 mins. As we had such gorgeous views - we decided to order and wait - we weren't rushing anywhere after all. The food arrived 45 mins after ordering - which was Ok as we were warned.
My son had a huge plate of Calamari - which looked fab. I could have chewed a Dunlop tyre easier - it was like the toughest rubber imaginable. We ordered a variety of little dishes - courgettes were cold, soggy and greasy - again inedible. We also had the most unusual dish - local sausage pie - which were frankfurters rolled in sweet pastry - again inedible. We did have a nice baked spaghetti and a tuna salad plus lots and lots or bread.
I feel the waiter knew the meal was a disaster - as he gave us a 10% discount!!!!
I don't know if the food is always this bad or perhaps it was a result of being short staffed.
Beautiful setting - awful food.
