“very romantic view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

A perfect place to spend holidays with your boy/girlfriend. Rooms are cute and confortable with all services you need. All the rooms have a little patio that offer you an amazing point of view on the caldera of Santorini. Sunsets are beautifull. Near you have all the facilities you need; if tou can rent a motocycle you can easilly reach every part of the island. The only bed thing is the problem of frequent black out cused by the inadequate electric system of the island

We were so lucky to loose our suitcases in Athens doing our transfer! We arrived at the hotel a bit beaten after the news in the airport and very sad about this start of the holiday. The receptionist was amazing, she got us a nice cold beer, and she called the airport right away to follow up on the case. The next morning our suitcases was delivered to our room :) The little gesture with the beer and interest in finding our suitcases was amazing and very much appreciated.
The Hotel it self is very nice, the rooms are perfect in size and very original, beautiful and simple, but not leaving you missing anything...well other than maybe a bit if shadow (it was a bit windy when we were there and therefore the umbrella was not an option) The view from the room was great, with Oia on the one side and the Firostefani on the other.
Overall the service was great, arrangement of trips and advise regarding the island was very nice. The water from the water heater was a bit smelly for the first 2 min. but after that no problems. Not many people were using the pool or the pool area so when needing a fast cooling dip there was always room in the small pool. The Hotel is placed in Imerovigli which is a but outside of Fira, and this makes it a lot more quiet and less tourist. It takes about 15-20 min to walk into Fira, and half way you find Firostefani with nice restaurents and shopping. All in All great place but most of all great people! :)

Room Tip: Get rooms away from the pool and away from the little path going through the hotel

What a wonderful 3-days-experience from the first email to the drop off at the airport this has been! Location is amazing, unobstructed views of the sunset over Oià. Rooms are as described, typical cycladic architecture. Traditional, cave-like, small but comfy. Kitchenette, well equipped. (Only the mattresses are super firm and not comfy at all. Ouch.)
But most importantly: The staff goes out of their ways to make you feel at home! Restaurant tips and reservations, airport pick ups and drop offs, rooms changes - you name it. Thank you, Konstantina, for being the perfect host during our stay. (I put all your Athens tips to good use, btw.) And thank you, Maria, for being so quick-responding and helpful via email before we arrived.

Room Tip: Try to stay in a room below the pedestrian path. More secluded.

Kasimatis Studious located in Imerovigli, with an exceptional caldera view - to the Ia (Oia) and the sunset, unfortunately the new volcano (Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni) cannot be seen from the hotel. Almost on the top of the caldera, with just a few steps from (public) parking and easy access to the Santorini's attractions - it is a really good place to stay.
It's a respectful family hotel with exceptional and friendly stuff. Just be sure what room you have chosen - simply ask Maria Kasimaris and you will get 100% reliable answer and all details needed.

My room was simply exceptional, made in the part of old vinery, beautifully decorated with two (!) old grapes storage holes in the floor and a hot tube (perfectly clean!). The only disappointment was the hotel's pool at the entrance of the room. The hotel owners really did their best with the room, the only inconvenience is caused by other hotel guests, who does not care that there are other people around: they may smoke at the entrance, swim and having fan in the pool during the night or move chairs just behind your door.

Room Tip: When booking be clear if your room has or has not a private balcony and where the windows (door) are...

just returned from the Kasimatis Studios and had a fabulous week - the views were to die for the people so friendy and most of all the staff at Kasimatis were great. Only comment to make - why do the Greek people think we can manage without a kettle but think we need a 5 litre soup pan?

Room Tip: if you like steps opt for lower level - best views. I not too good with steps request top floor. P...

Incredible views. Breath-taking from every apartment. Pool was refreshing and deep. Staff really helpful and friendly. Apartments and whole area very clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend. Views from Imerovigli are incredible. Sunset better than Oia - straight from apartment out to sea. Can walk to Fira in 20 mins (off road)

Room Tip: go for top room if you can afford it - massive round bed and private hot tub!! All apartments looke...

Myself and my mother stayed here on 7th may 2014 for a week, there was a miss understanding on which room type we had booked. We booked a Sea/Caldera view , but the room was infact a pool view with a terrace that you had to access , by coming out of the room and going up some stairs to your sun loungers in the terrace , this is shared by another room. This we learnt is not the owners fault but it is the way the internet company we booked with advertised it. The staff were very helpful, when the realised our disappointment and we upgrade to one of the deluxe hot tube suites at the top of the apartments ...... Absolute perfection, beautifully decorated, stunning views, at all at a reduced price because of our disappointment /misunderstanding on our booked room type.
Maria who owns the hotel, is wonderful and can't do enough for you , she even when home to get her own toaster for us to use ! The location is perfect. We visited Fira and Oia both beautiful but too busy once the cruise ships dock. This place is the perfect location , hope to go back soon!
Just to let people know the electric wires people have mentioned on previous reviews have all been removed, so the views are totally uninterrupted.

Room Tip: If you can afford it upgrade to deluxe suite, it's worth it , everything from fresh robes and sl...
