“Anastasis, how I miss thee!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Hands down, Anastasis has been my favorite tripadvisor "find" to date. You can't take a bad photo because everything here is dream like.

BIG TIP: Book in advance! I tried to book in January for May & was lucky to capitalize on a cancellation.

Service is amazing. They leave you alone to enjoy yourselves, but golly gee do they run, and I mean sprint, to the back gate with water bottles in hand if you decide to go for a walk. We also decided last minute to rent a car and they took care of everything. They had the car delivered to the hotel and then thoroughly walked around the car to make note of all the dings for us. Can't say enough great things about Anastasis and it's staff.

Room Tip: Try to book AT LEAST 6 months in advance. Some folks book up to a year in advance to stay at Anastas...

We held our wedding ceremony at Anastasis whilst staying at the apartments so forming part of our honeymoon during early September. The ceremony went much better than we could ever have imagined and is largely down to Despina and her team. The location is fantastic overlooking the Caldera from the private sun deck which easily had room for our 20 guests. Before the day Despina went through in some detail with us all the planning of the day, she organised for a pair of Greek musicians to play before and after the ceremony which really added authenticity and a party atmosphere. The Anastasis team as always went the extra mile and also at no extra cost provided drinks and food for the guests and a larger wedding cake. Having also been to the Santo Winery where many wedding are held I can definitely recommend Anastasis as a winner location wise and the service received was exceptional. All our guests said they had the most wonderful time.

We stayed at Anastasis Apartments during our European 3 week trip at September.
Setting was just incredible. We enjoyed every moment at the hotel. Service was spectacular.
I thought twice to post a review about this hotel cause we thinking to book in advance for next year but I think it is already a popular.
Big Thank you to all that work at this place and especially to the remarkable owner.
Santorini is unforgettable and a stay at Anastasis Apartments made our trip better than expected.

the pictures and reviews are of course highly rated but there is something in the way that despina and her team deliver their service that makes anastasis stand out from the crowd, they offer an understated "meet all your needs" approach however this cannot be achieved without hard work and keeping the guest at the centre of what they do. thank you despina, looking forward to returning to santorini, wouldnt stay anywhere else.

My husband and I went to Santorini in July for our honeymoon, and it was like a dream. We have never been treated so well in our lives. I don't want to give too much away, but it was truly an experience. Despina and her team are so hardworking and treat everyone spectacularly. They do so much to make your vacation once in a lifetime. I am a teacher and my husband was in grad school at the time, so we got the most basic room and I thought it was marvelous. It was worth every penny. Santorini itself is amazing, and Despina and her team will help you navigate and give great recommendations. I loved every second of this trip. Even now when I need to relax, I picture myself on the edge of that infinity pool overlooking the Meditteranean Sea with a drink in hand. We will definitely go back for an anniversary some day!!

My husband and I recently stayed at Anastasis the last week of the tourist season in Santorini, and we had a wonderful time there. It was, without question, the best hotel we have ever stayed at, all because of the unparalleled hospitality and service we received there. The people there are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever met, and they all went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable vacation. We got there late the first night, and after giving us a thorough tour of the grounds, they surprised us with a romantic dinner on our balcony with candles and delicious food, and wine, so much food that we didn't even need to eat out that night. That was the kind of thoughtful hospitality we received throughout our stay- deliciously filling breakfasts, little surprises throughout the day, lovely turn-downs in the evenings with desserts or other bedtime treats. We had a junior suite, and it was a very nice room with plenty of space, comfortable bed, and a beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. Bathroom had no tub but a nice shower with good water pressure and steamy water. The weather was average 75-80F, so we took advantage of the pool and laid out in the sun a couple days. Getting around without a car was very easy. The hotel arranged everything for us in the evenings- dinner reservations, complimentary transportation to and from the restaurants. All we had to do was say where we wanted to go for dinner and it would all be taken care of for us. During the day, we would either relax by the pool or walk to Fira or Oia, both of which are great hikes with beautiful scenery along the way and fun towns to explore. We would usually take a cab from the towns back to the hotel, which was about 7 euros from Fira and 14 euros from Oia. Each time we came back from our excursions, one of the hotel staff would always greet us. They were always so helpful in suggesting where to go, what to see, the best places to eat, etc, we didn't even need a guidebook. The best part of our days were the sunsets, which were the most beautiful we'd seen and certainly some of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The hotel reserved a sunset hour with the hot tub for us, which was very romantic. That same evening, we came back after dinner to our room, softly lit with candles all over, which pretty much topped the most romantic evening we had. We can't say enough about how wonderful Despina and her staff were. They really turned our vacation into an unforgettable magical one. We were definitely spoiled rotten there and we loved every minute of it.

We spent 3 nights in Santorini at the end of a 4-week trip around Europe. We were exhausted from our travels and wanted some R&R. We had picked Anastasis because it was rated #1 on TripAdvisor and expected it to be good... but we were absolutely blown away by it.

The minute we arrived we were greeted warmly by Despina and her team. We arrived at around 10am and thought we would have to wait a few hours, then venture out somewhere for lunch. What we didn't expect was to find a lavish breakfast waiting for us on our private balcony!
Our whole stay was just one pleasant surprise after another. If you're sitting by the pool for some time, they'll serve you some cold water. Every afternoon, if you're by the pool, you get fruit punch.

Everyday at 3.30pm is 'coffee time' - a serving of Greek coffee (any way you like it) and cake. Every evening - wine or ouzo with a little canape - served either by the pool, in your room, or on your balcony. The team really do go out of their way to make you feel so special. I remember constantly thinking how I don't deserve to be treated this well! I would expect this kind of pampering to be reserved for the person who cured cancer or something :)

The hotel itself is gorgeous. Pictures are nice but they don't do it justice. From the pool you look out into the vast blue sea and cliffs in the distance. The walking path that joins Fira to Oia passes right past the hotel so you can step out for a beautiful walk at anytime (and of course, be welcomed back with a cold towel and water!)

There is a jacuzzi which can be reserved at any time, so you get the whole place to yourself. The view of the sunset from there is amazing.

Don't worry about being too far from the towns as there are a few good restaurants nearby who will drive you to and from the restaurant. Fira and Oia are a short bus ride away (or you can walk) and the staff gave us great restaurant recommendations.

I cannot recommend this place enough and can honestly say it is the most special place I've stayed in. The whole island is beautiful and we can't wait to go back!
