I'm sorry this has taken me such a long time to write this review but this hotel was so wonderful that I just couldn't procrastinate any longer. My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days last June and from the moment we set foot on the hotel grounds to our morning of departure everything was perfect. Our room was also upgraded the first night where we had double the balconies :). The service and friendliness of the hotel staff was top notch. This included our daily breakfast served on the balcony with magnificent views of the Caldera, the delicious mojitos the bartender would bring us to help quench our thirst on those +30 days and the intimate, romantic dinners we would have that would be set up by the hotel staff and prepared for by the kitchen. These are just a few of the things that stick out in my mind that made our vacation a very memorable and special time away from home.
I would recommend Astra Suites to anybody looking for a small, romantic hotel during their stay in Santorini, Greece.
There is also a small church just near the hotel that my boyfriend and I would sit up top of and watch the sunset go down while enjoying our vino and macaroons :) so beautiful, peaceful and quiet and perfect view of the sunset as well.

Beautiful suites right on the edge of the Caldera. We stayed 3 nights , I wish it had been 2 weeks.The hotel car collected us from the ferry. There are many steps down but to us it was worth while. The porter carried our luggage to our suite for us. Beautiful suite just outside the pool. The view was to die for. A never ending pool and pool bar where one could just look at the view and watch the sunsets. Breakfast was served on your terrace. So much to choose from. A superb restaurant with unbelievable views. Very romantic. Imerovigli is a quieter area . If you want the busy town and night life , stay in Fira. You can walk along the path through the houses at the edge of the cliff top where there are many little shops and spots to have a drink into Fira. We would definitely stay at Astra suites again. the staff were excellent and very helpful.

Nestled between Fira and Oia, I believe this is a sister hotel to Enigma in Fira. Very similarly fine amenities (cliffside, balcony, privacy and hot-tubs suites available) and great for those wanting to be somewhat removed from the more busy towns of Fira and Oia. However, there is not much within walking distance, so sightseeing/dining-out/shopping requires renting a vehicle or taking a taxi/bus. That being said, for those wanting to get-away-from-it-all, this place may be perfect!

I would like to tell a little story. We got married at 10.10.12. We were spouse to go to Morocco for Honeymoon, than to Tanzania and than to Thailand. I guess that destiny took a spin on us and we ended up without a destination. We decided to look up the best honeymoon destinations and we got to Astra suites in Santorini. The first and most amazing name that popped up was ASTRA SUITES. WE choose the Hotel and went to a magical Journey. When we landed ion santorini a Luxury van waited for us in the airport. he too us to the hotel and than started the amazing 9 days. every morning you have the breakfast made to order for your request - any thing you want and as much as you want. fruits eggs coffee tea breakfast meats, oatmeal and more. The staff at the restaurant - head server Kostas and the amazing chef is on you call whenever needed and you could taste the high quality of food in each and every bite. the front desk staff, especially Heleni but everybody else as well - from the pool bartender Kostas (yes... another kostas) to the owner Jorge was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! They where very helpful with rental cars, restaurants around the island, museums, winery tours, archeological sites and more. Every request that we had was answered right away. The rooms in the hotel are just breathtaking. we had a pool suite - a one bedroom suite with a private pool on a balcony overlooking the volcano. the most amazing views we have ever seen. Guys - Who ever wants to have the perfect honeymoon this is the place!!! we are still in touch with the lovely staff and we are planning our next trip to Astra Suites!!!!
