“Amazing hotel, staff and views across the Caldera”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

We stayed at the hotel back in July this year for 5 nights as part of our Honeymoon and we loved every minute!!
The hotel is truly spectacular and the views of the Caldera are simply breath taking. The rooms are all very unique and very well furnished and presented. The food at the hotel's restaurant is first class and well worth trying - you can try other restaurants in the town but it is not a patch on Kapari, especially as you eat whilst watching the sun set. The service is above and beyond what we had expected and incredibly friendly. The Hotel has a very private feeling but intimate and great to get to know others staying in the hotel with you.
Would 110% recommend and will definately be visiting again!!

Excellent hotel, interesting cave rooms, great location, service and views. My only minor criticism is that the in-room jacuzzi was an actual hot tub (instead of a fillable whirpool bathtub) and, thus, produced constant heat and required running the air conditioner non-stop.

Tripadvisor Reviews

Kapari was wonderful. I was a bit apprehensive when we first checked in. We booked a vanilla room but was "upgraded" to a bigger room but it was off in the back and felt separate from the rest of Kapari. There was hardly any view to speak of and what view you did have was crisscrossed with power lines. Three similar rooms open up on to a small shared terrace area (so might be fun if traveling as a family or as a party). Should try to avoid being assigned to this area.

My apprehensions were swiftly dispelled however when Mr. Costaz (?) enthusiastically showed us all other available rooms and let us have our pick.  We settled on the room overlooking the shared pool. Beautiful and stunning view (206, I think). But we didn't truly fall in love with Kapari until the next day, when we moved into the newly available room next door (207). This one was perfect and we proceeded to have the best 4 nights stay. Room itself was nice, not big, but it was the balcony/nook area which we spent most of our time. It was private and picturesque with Skaros rock and, of course, direct and unobstructed caldera sunset view.  Got a bit windy at night and the little nook kept us sheltered. Blazing sun during the day, the nook gave us welcome reprieve from the scalding heat.  Staff were all great, efficient and unobtrusive.  Food was all good - the "banoffee" deserves special mention: some kind of yummy banana, cookie, whipped cream,  chocolatey flavor-bomb... I loved it!

I would surely come back to Kapari,  but only if 207 was a sure thing.

Room Tip: Just ask to turn off jacuzzi if it gets too hot and muggy. Try the Banofee Room 207 is a dream

My husband & I stayed here for a week in September & even with our expectations so high after reading all the amazing reviews, Kapari far exceeded everything we were hoping for. The staff (from the moment we landed at the airport) were totally fabulous. Ever friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them & they gave the impression the hotel had just opened & we were the first guests to arrive - honestly! The chilled Vin Santo awaiting us on arrival & the fresh fruit platter personally delivered as we were settling in, made us feel very special indeed. This is a boutique hotel & small elegant touches were evident everywhere. I noted a few travellers' comments about the pool being too small & an insufficient number of sun loungers, but we never had a problem as we found guests rotated frequently. The restaurant was great & again, all the staff were brilliant. The breakfasts were one of the highlights of our trip (one morning stretched up to an hour & a half over 7 courses - seriously!). We could not recommend this small hotel highly enough. I dont ever recall a time when I've wanted to hug the staff member upon check-out, it was like saying farewell to a family member!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 208 & the balcony was fabulous.

Santorini was my wife's chosen dream destination. Never having been, I spent some time on Tripadvisor comparing resorts and hotels and finally settled on "Kapari". Met at the airport by a courteous driver, we were quickly transported to the breathtaking cliffside of Imerovigli and shown to our spacious and well-appointed room in the private residence courtyard, room 104. Nice touches, fresh white roses in the room, and John soon turned up from the restaurant/bar with a complimentary bottle of wine and a bowl of prepared summer fruits.Looking out over the Caldera, wine in hand and enjoying our 1st beautiful sunset, we revelled in the fact that we had a full week of this to come! And what a week we had, wonderful weather, fantastic breakfasts (and dinners) in the hotel restaurant, attentive staff and everywhere kept spotlessly clean. Thank you to all at "Kapari". You gave Carole and I the very best of holidays and we hope to return one day soon.

In my opinion and from what i saw, one of the better hotels on the island. Spectacular setting making the most of the amazing views and sunsets. Built recently it settles into its surroundings with out making any "noise" and comes with all modern luxuries for todays traveller. Its a beautiful hotel in a beautiful spot. The guys that run and work at the place are good, everything you want and need is catered for but there was no edge with the service, it was good but never outstanding. Its expensive but most things good are, the internal spas proving to be more of a gimmick for us than practical and it kept the bathroom too warm along with the bedroom, but air conditioning is provided. I recommend this hotel and if they got the service right, do everything with a smile, then this place could be excellent. Santorini could do with an overhaul generally, its a world class attraction but seems to have lost its way. The service in general along with towns, villages, restaurants are all tired, too many tourists, the place has been left without its soul. 1 or 2 night stay is all you'll need to soak up that amazing view.

Myself and my wife arrived at the Kapari Natural on our honeymoon at the end of August for one week and it is definitely the best hotel either of us have stayed in. The first thing when you get there is the amazing view looking out over the Caldera, the hotel is high up and no matter where you are pool, room or restaurant the view is fantastic. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist and shown around the hotel with a complimentary glass of Santorini Vinsanto (sweet wine). The pool area is small but adequate and we received glasses of ice water everyday which was appreciated in the heat.

We were showed to our room and received some complimentary fresh fruit and a bottle of wine on arrival. The room itself (101) was a very unique cave style room with big lounge, king sized bed, Flat-screen TV, separate jacuzzi room and all the other usual features. I did have to duck to get into the bathroom but it was all part of the character. Outside our room was not chairs or sunbeds but a comfy bed big enough for two people to lie and watch the sunset with a glass of wine.

Food in the hotel was very nice, we ate breakfast every morning which was cooked to order and available till around 11.30 (eggs, bacon, omelettes, pancakes, crepes etc.). There was also fresh breads, cereal and fruit, the waiter John was very helpful and gave great service (as did every member of staff in the hotel, very much a personal touch). Its not super fast but that's because its high quality and is worth the wait. Also had a lovely evening meal and some food from the snack menu, not the cheapest but reasonable for a 5* hotel.

An amazing boutique hotel on an amazing island, would love to go back. There is not much in Imerovigili (two shops, 3-4 restaurants and a few bars nearby) but you can walk to Firostephani in 20mins and Thira is about 40min walk where there is lots going on. Taxis are hard to come by at this time of year and there are lots and lots of steps everywhere you go including the hotel, so not very suitable for anyone that struggles with steps.
