“"Good for the soul"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

The view is breathtaking (nothing can prepare you for it).
The hotel is immaculately conceived and beautifully made. It's really stunning down to every detail.
The service is impeccable - warm, friendly, prompt, upbeat, welcoming and personalized.
The food is exquisite. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are nothing but perfect.
The honeymoon suite number 64 is paradisiacal. The plunge pool is perched at the edge of the cliff looking down at the Caldera and Oia.
In a nutshell, if you can afford this hotel and you need to feed your soul, book it now.

Room Tip: Room 64 is incredible. Room 52 is also great. And The Villa is just another level.

We stayed in Grace santorini in Sep 2012 and even now I can still remember how pleasant and unqiue the entire experience was. Firstly, location - the hotel is on the relatively higher altitude part of the island, hence the view (esp for sunset) is totally breathtaking; what makes it more special is that it's on a relative quiet neighbourhood/town hence you can really avoid all the tourist crowds and have a peace of mind while enjoying the view. Our room has a outdoor jacuzzi which adds to the fun as we can enjoy the sunset in the little pool with a glass of champagne! The room is good size, not totally "luxurious" but is clean, comfortable and has a minimalistic setting. The hotel also has public infinity pool which we didn't use because it's too hot. Food is great, fresh and tasty. We had one dinner there and it's lovely (again with the view), more on the "fine dining" side. But there are nice local restaurants nearby which we enjoyed more. Think there's a spa as well but we didn't get the chance to try.

Room Tip: Get a room with outdoor jacuzzi, totally worth it!

If you have shortlisted or are considering this hotel for your trip to Santorini then please just go ahead and MAKE THE BOOKING !!
My husband and I have traveled all over the world and have been very fortunate to stay in some beautiful hotels along the way, but hand on heart, Grace Santorini is the most spectacular, magical and inviting hotel we have ever stayed. I echo all of the wonderful comments below and reiterate 1) most definitely get a room with a private pool (most do have them) 2) The chef is just ridiculous in his craft - breakfast is to die for and if you have the pleasure of tasting from the dinner menu, the sea bass moussaka followed by the tahini halve desert is literally the best meal I've ever had! and last but not least 3) The staff are incredibly special and are what makes your experience incredible. Georgia was just beautiful, she greeted us with champagne on arrival, made us feel so welcome as if we'd known her for years!
Thanks so much guys for making our honeymoon so much more than we ever dreamed possible xxx Lorraine & Stu (Melbourne, Aus)

I had heard wonderful things about the Grace in Santorini from friends that had stayed there, so was a little nervous when I chose it for a trip for me and my 2 best friends for a special celebration get away. I wanted something perfect! I stay at a lot of nice hotels but nothing could of prepared me for how wonderfully luxurious and warm, friendly, chilled and blissful our stay at Grace would be. Everything from airport pick up to the professional and friendly staff to our stunning villa was impeccable, they think of everything and the attention to detail is subtle and we truly felt spoiled. This is without mentioning the stunning surroundings and panoramic views of the Agean sea. Breakfast is an event every day with a beautiful menu from their outstanding chef(he is a genius) and the staff are fantastic they remember every detail of your preferences. Joseph the manager runs a very special team of people who make staying at Grace a complete joy.

I was not sure where to take my wife on her 50th birthday. There was something about this hotel, I was not disappointed the hotel, location, the people staying at the hotel were great, the staff were absolutely fantastic in fact my wife now wants to go every year. The setting for honeymooners is out of this world,to sum up I would say this is the closest to Heaven you will ever be.

Room Tip: You have to have a plunge pool outside your room.

We were there in August 2011, but Tripadvisor only let me choose a date as far back as August 2012.
When we heard about this hotel, we were informed that it was the best hotel in Greece, and boy, they weren't kidding. The location is magnificent and the hotel itself is a thing of real beauty. Cut into the face of a rock, the place is beautifully designed and the rooms are exquisite. The service was incredible. The staff number almost as many as the guests and most of them know your name and room after day 1. We really felt special like VIPs, the pools at the hotel are just amazing, when you are in the infinity pool, and you look over the edge at the most fabulous view of the sea, the volcanic island etc. it is just heaven.
When we were there the staff just took such amazing care of us, our favourite was Clio, she greeted us every morning with the biggest grin and was just so full of lightness and energy that it really made our day, every day.
The food.... oh my god, the food.... The 3 course champagne breakfast that was included in our room was amazing. Overflowing with delicious goodies, hot, cold, yoghurt, pancakes and champagne! In fact we often didn't have to eat until dinner time, after that.
And dinner was another thing altogether. We have eaten at the Ivy in London, and at many other of the world's nicest restaurants, and this hotel's dinner was equal to them in quality (and price), but hey, you get what you pay for. The food was so delicious, and the 'cave' by the pool is the most romantic place to eat (make sure you reserve it early as they are very popular).
I could carry on writing about how wonderful the hotel was for pages, but then no one would read it anyway!
If you want the most amazing, kid free, romantic, luxurious (oh yeah, I forgot to mention our jacuzzi outside our room) hotel experience ever, then go to this hotel. You will love it.
Thanks so much to all the staff of summer 2011, and sorry it took 2 years to write this review (I promised I would, and eventually kept it!). The manager and his wife were due to have their first child, I hope all 3 of you are well!
One day, when we are richer, we will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Well, it seems obvious, but if you avoid the cheapest rooms, then you will get a bit more privacy on...

We booked the Grace Santorini for the first part of our honeymoon and it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in (and we've been lucky enough to stay in a lot!) The service was second to none. Everyone we came across was so friendly, helpful and genuine and we have to make a special mention to Georgia the assistant manager who is the best, most wonderful, lovely lady. Nothing was too much trouble and over the course of the week we were there we became very close and she has now become a lifelong friend. We were picked up from the airport by one of the drivers who greeted us with a cold towel, water and fruit and we new immediately this was going to be somewhere very special. Once we got to the hotel we were greeted by various members of the front desk team who was all lovely and given a much needed glass of champagne. What more do you need for the start of your honeymoon! We were then greeted by the fabulous Georgia who I had spoken to a few times on the phone and she told us she had a big surprise for us. She took us to our room which we expected to be the Grace suite but instead we walked into The Villa. All I can say is WOW and OMG. The villa is to die for. The bedroom/living room was huge, the shower room was a room in itself, wonderful bathroom and if that wasn't enough there was a jacuzzi, stream room, gym/massage room, huge sundeck area and large pool AND a separate kitchen! By the time we had looked around it all we were both crying. We couldnt believe she had upgraded us. We had both had a tough few months with my wife having a bereavement and my recovery from a recent battle with cancer so this couldnt have been more needed and we were so grateful. The staff just couldnt do enough to make our stay wonderful and memorable and we went on to enjoy a fantastic week. The food was delicious and we were lucky enough to have a complimentary four course meal created by the genius chef Spiros. The attention to detail in the room and whole hotel was just perfect. We were both in a state when we had to leave as after staying at the Grace, nothing compares so we feel sorry for the rest of the hotels we are staying at in Greece! We were so sad to go (my wife cried!) But we have a great memory now and a friend in Georgia always. Thank you to everyone at the hotel (particularly Georgia) for the best start to our honeymoon, it shall not be forgotten!
