we visited this hotel with a bit of worry as some reviews were bad. the transfer time was very short, well it seemed like it, 45 mins was spot on. On arrival the receptionist, Nadia, was very welcoming and professional. The 1st night was spoilt by the toilet leaking every time you flushed, this took nearly 24hrs to fix not very good, which was reported to reception straight away. Although they did send a bottle of wine and a fruit basket to the room as a sweetener. The room was nice and clean although the aircon remote was in reception and not in room .We were not in the main hotel but in room 416 which is a short walk down a lot of steps so no good if you cant use stairs and in a separate annex. The food in the resteraunt was average for an AI. At lunch do not sit on balcony as you cant pick up cutlery as it gets very hot as we discovered .Also at certain times it is very busy. The staff at meal times all had a smile on their faces and were very good. The bar staff were also very good ,Fanis in the upstairs bar was extremely helpful. So all in all hotel isn't as bad as some of the reviews. we did venture to a few eateries with the main town a good 15 mins walk away downhill so not a good walk after a big meal, but the best one was just down in the bay it was called Stellios Tavern bar. the young staff that worked there were polite and attentive and the price was very low for what you got, that's my opinion, as they also gave you a fruit platter with a shot for free. Also the little shop next to it was run by a lovely women who gives you a good deal on gifts. As a ending we did enjoy a nice stay. Just one point for the females maybe take a small travelling mirror as sockets in room not in ideal place for getting ready.

Room Tip: try and get room in hotel itself to avoid steps. although the annex we stayed in was nice and quiet.

Absolutely lovely hotel. We stayed in the annex bungalows, lovely and peaceful yet great for the families also. All the staff were all helpful and very friendly. The food was also very good with a good selection to suit all. It was a bit hilly for people with breathing difficulties but the views were beautiful especially at sunset. I would recommend it without a doubt. Thanks to all for a fantastic holiday!

I have just got back from a one week holiday with a frien, staying in one of the promo bungalows.
What was great about this is that each group of bungalows has their own pool and a bar, complete bliss.
We were met, with no exception, every time with a smile from the staff and friendliness, they were always happy to help with advice, excursions, shuttle to airport etc.
The food.... there was more than enough for everyone, so much choice and fresh food, although no great for vegetarians, probably due to the lack of english people staying at the hotel and the majority of europeans do enjoy their meat and fish..... but i was able to fill up on amazing salads and fantastic baclava!!! Drinks were also plentiful, available all day and the little plastic cups gave us exercise to the bar at least.
Spa treatments were cheap price and fantastic, extensive activities by the pool included an excellent water gym daily (to work off the baclava) and nighttime entertainment for children.
Beaches nearby were small but all within walking distance, steps or slope to get down to the beach ensuring beautiful sea views from the apartment and restaraunt....
Thank you blue bay for a smashing relaxing week.

Room Tip: bungalows are great for a quiet pool and bar and less noise from the night entertainment if you don...

great hotel, stayed in 2 bedroomed bungalow with sea view, maid service daily, rooms clean, plenty of stairs to keep you fit after eating the good selection of food, wonderful freshly baked bread daily, staff couldn't have been any nicer, very welcoming, animation team very entertaining, plenty to do at the pool on a daily basis, night entertainment good. would go back without any hesitation.

I was really worried when we going on holiday, as I had read some of the negative comments on TripAdvisor. All of this worry was unfounded and we had a wonderful time and were highly impressed with all aspects of the hotel.
We started off our holiday in the bungalow annex, which was a short walk up a hill. This was ok, with sea views and its own pool and bar next to it. We then had to move into the main hotel, as my friend injured her leg, ending up on crutches and was unable to walk between the hotel and bungalow. The staff were great, ensuring that they found us a suitable room in the hotel and offering to find something else if that wasn't right. We were both impressed by the help we were given.
I must say, when we got into the hotel room we were both very impressed, the room was lovely with a nice sized balcony and great sea views. Also, air conditioning was included, which was a supplement in the bungalows. If I were to go again, I would be booking to stay in the hotel itself, rather than the bungalows.
The staff were all really friendly and nothing seemed like too much trouble.
The food was great and there was a massive selection to choose from, which changed daily. Yes, only basic drinks are included in the all inclusive, but this was very clear on the hotel information when we booked. The other drinks aren't badly priced, I enjoyed quite a few cocktails, which I would highly recommend!
If you want a holiday that you can relax by the pool with some amazing views, this is for you!
I will be returning!

Good family holiday, out the way so if your after a quite holiday this would suit. A lot of stairs to walking and a steep hill to and from the beach but very nice. There's also a little town, just a 20min walk with a few little shops and a bigger beach and afew bars. Hotel blue bay has a good entertainer on a night, but more so for the children, with a mini disco which is good fun for all. Food was fine, a lot of choice and changes daily so not always the same.

Room Tip: Main hotel room would be best as bungalows are down a lot of steps, but out the way, so if you wante...

Most reviews concentrate on the resort, the main centre for the Blue Bay, but there is another side to the accommodation i.e. "The Annex". 150 metres from the resort with no link other than the main road and a steep hill. The annex accommodates the staff and guests, who are usually singles or couples. It does have a small swimming pool and a bar but all entertainment and meals are at the resort. The staff are often loud and noisy at night with no respect for guests and on nights off they can be very loud until 3.00/4.00 am which was my personal experience, not the way to spend a relaxing holiday. If you are looking for restaurants, shops or a beach close by this is the wrong hotel as there are none. There are many in Agia Palagia accessible by foot down a very step incline by steps and roadway (no courtesy bus) not to bad going down but coming back it is a cardiac arrest climb unless you are fit and active. You may get lucky and find that elusive taxi, if you wait long enough. The evening entertainment, what can I say, appalling, atrocious and that's being kind. The hotel deserves better, it is clean, gorgeous views, nice food and the pools are very good but if you can live with its faults then maybe its for you, but beware of the annex!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Stay away from the Annex
