I recently spent 5 weeks with Gerhard and Gaby at this wonderful hotel and miss the Muellers desperately now that I am home. The hotel's rooms are bright, airy and very clean. The food is exceptionally wunderbar ... but the highlight for me was having Gaby & Gerhard to 'come home to' every evening after my day at Landstuhl Regional (Military) Medical Center. [It is a quick walk from Gate 4 at the hospital.]

What began as Herr und Frau Mueller quickly became Gerhard und Gaby. Their relationship with guests and restaurant patrons is warm and friendly. Whether you are just passing through Landstuhl or a regular patron you are treated with a smile, grace and joy.

Gaby's cooking is out of this world, from her scrambled eggs to the Argentinian grass fed beef that is so tender you can cut it with a table knife. The beef steak alone was worth the trip! No jaegerschnitzel will ever taste as good as Gaby's or how many times does a person say that they fall in love with the house salad? The dressing is divine ... and home made, as is all of the food. No prepared sauces, mixes, etc., and you can tell.

Gerhard has a great love and knowledge of wines, German and others, always recommending a perfect match. He is an incredible source of local and regional history and information and is a delight to converse with during dinner ... or any time! Gerhard keeps the 'front' of the restaurant going while Gaby keeps the kitchen preparing the phenomenal offerings.

The restaurant patrons are heavily local plus a number of military from the hospital. More than once I witnessed military members and their families or friends coming to Pfaelzer Stuben for their 'last meal' in Germany. This place creates wonderful memories for many.

What can I say except that I loved my stay at the Pfaelzer Stuben and I now have two dear friends there. Gaby and I were both sniffling when I left and I thought she would never let go of me! Herzlichen Dank [heartfelt thanks] Gaby und Gerhard!

Gaby & Gerhard and the Pfaelzer Stuben are a welcome oasis is a desert of large or chain hotels.

If you want small, tasty and friendly - this is the place to stay!

Gaby and Gerhard Mueller are the owners and hosts at the Pfaelzer Stuben. The hotel offers 5 very clean rooms and a newly added apartment for longer stays. Conveniently located across from Landstuhl Regional Army Medical Center and Ramstein Air Force Base, it’s quite setting on the outskirts of Landstuhl is ideal. Gaby distinguished herself as an excellent chef, even offering to make any special requests not included on the menu. At the request of another guest we were treated to traditional Ham Hocks and Sauerkraut. Geschmack!

I would not hesitate in returning, though it won't be soon enough.

I have stayed at the quaint Pfaelzer Stuben every time I come to Landstuhl. The food served in their restaurant is traditional and I would rate right up there with 3 or 4 stars. The small hotel is cozy and clean. Full bathrooms in each room. The hosts, Gabbie and Gerhard are very friendly and very welcoming of Americans. The hotel and restaurant are conveniently located right next to the U.S. hospital outside the exit gate about 100 yards to the left.

First, it's right across the street from the Landstuhl Regional Med. Ctr (outside gate 4). The rooms are cozy and clean.
There is a restaurant downstairs which serves excellent traditional german reciptes like schnitzel, spaetzle, rouladen. The breakfasts are hearty with sausages, eggs, pancakes, bread and butter and coffee and juice. But, best of all the hosts, Gaby and Gerhard Muller are very welcoming and knowledgable of the area.
