“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

We enjoyed our 3 day stay. Our room had a balcony with a view of the Sea. Breakfasts were very good, sitting out on the terrace. We had dinner there 2 nights, excellent food. The couple who run the hotel were very helpful and attentive. We could not have asked for more.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the Sea.

“A great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

We chose the Cap Riviera after reviewing TA member's comments. We were not disappointed. From the first meeting at reception to the departure 5 days later we could not fault the hospitality from all the staff. The room (well appointed, tasteful bathroom) we chose had a balcony with a sea view, it was also tastefully decorated on a South Seas theme. Lovely to wake up to the lapping of the sea on the beach outside. On the down side there is a little noise from the traffic on the road below but it is easily shut out by closing the french window.
Also the food is lovely, servings can be a little large but you don't have to eat the whole serving, (I am a war baby and have a compulsion not to waste any food). There are 2 other eating places nearby in easy walking distance, but their menus are limited. If you want to eat at some of the Saint Aygulf restaurants you will need transport (about 1km).

Excellant value, I will go back and stay at Cap Riviera again next year.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front facing the sea are well worth the few €'s extra.

“Had a great stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

My husband & I and our 2 year old daughter had a wonderful stay at this great hotel! The couple who runs it are very hospitable, the hotel rooms are really nicely decorated and everywhere is super clean. We stayed in a beautiful sea-view room with an adjoining room for our daughter and had a delicious breakfast every morning on the terrace overlooking the sea. Overall we were thrilled with the hotel and would highly recommend it.

“a treasure...just what we needed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

Alain and Patrizia are wonderful hosts. The location is unbeatable, perched on a hill, nice breezes, great view, not too far away from St Maxime's/St Raphael/St Tropez's hustle and bustle, if that's what you want. While there is no pool, who needs one when the sea is across the street and many other beaches are within walking distance as well? The breakfast was lovely, they will make you whatever you want. The family rooms at the hotel were perfect, two separate rooms adjoined by a door and the children's room had enough for 3 kids with 3 beds (which is hard to find). The hotel is extremely clean, the beds comfy, the sea facing rooms have an amazing view and I believe most rooms have a very nice terrace. We didn't find the traffic that loud at all, and the AC was the most quiet I have ever heard yet worked very well when needed. The only suggestion I would make is perhaps to have more fresh fruit (peaches, melon, berries) for breakfast and on the menu in general. In fact a lot of the eateries/hotels we visited in the S of France are surrounded by these lovely markets with delectable fruits and veg and yet what is being served in the restaurant is obviously not from those markets? That and if they added robes in the room, I'd say it is more like a 4 star hotel :).

Room Tip: The family room, I think it was 18, was ideal for a family of 5.

“Lovely hotel & staff and very close to beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

Alain and Patrizia warmly welcomed us. Especially Alain is friendly, funny and helpful.
We stayed in a garden view room on the first night and in a sea view room on the second and third night. The garden view was nice but we prefered the sea view room.
The beach is literally 30 seconds from the hotel, just cross the road. There are few people if you go there at around 9am, so you can see fish even in shallow water.
It takes about 15 - 20 minutes walk to the town centre and there are some lovely restaurants in the centre.
I think Saint Aygulf is quite convenient place. We went to Nice and Cannes; we drove to St Rafael which took us about 20mins, parked our car at the train station car park, and took a train to Nice and Cannes. The local TER train ticket (one day travel ticket) is only EUR14, but bear in mind that you can not take TGV with the ticket.
Overall, we really really enjoyed our stay in Saint Aygulf. We will definitely go back to Hotel Cap Riviera.

Room Tip: I recommend the sea view room!
