We were driving through the tiny village of Saint-Saturnin-les-Apt (in Provence) with another couple and thought we'd try to find a spot for lunch. We literally stumbled upon the hotel - Le Saint Hubert - with its restaurant attached. From the front, it really did not seem like much (a few tables with umbrellas directly on the road) but, once you enter through the hotel, you discover the restaurant at the back with the most amazing view over the valley! "Panoramic view" does not do it justice! The food (with a new chef who had worked in Paris and in Canada) was absolutely marvelous! Amongst the four of us, we had: melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon (of pork) with a sauce that was to die for, a whole fish (loup) and a beef dish. We also had desserts (a chocolate tart, a cheese plate, & a caramelized grape crumble). We were so pleased at our unexpected find!
