We spent five nights in the "Zoe" room which was fabulous. The building is an ancient tile-making factory converted to a small hotel. The decor is a very interesting mix of the ancient stones and beams with modern furniture and fixtures. I think it comes off pretty well -- more spanish style modern than french. The proprieter, Vincent was so warm and gracious a host. The breakfasts served by the pool were delicious and especially Vincent's mom's homemade Thyme Jelly. Parking is tight -- and we had a fairly large car by European standards. There is easy access to the main road and Carcassonne is no more than 10 minutes by car, Trèbes less than 5 minutes.
The only problem -they don't accept credit cards so an electronic transfer of funds is necessary to secure the reservation. We will stay here again.
