Read the reviews in the Michelin guide, true looks like nothing from the outside, the inside is nice. Very friendly reception, nice clean, large rooms. Breakfast was included, and plenty of choices, cheese, yogourt, croissants. The only negative note is the noise, rooms are not sound proof. We could hear everything going on in the lobby.

We stayed at Hotel Duc de Padoue for 2 nights and we recommend it.
Our room was on the second floor (no elevator) and was beautiful, elegant, clean and with nice balcony.
The breakfast room was charming and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a free internet access.

Just for one night, we were passing through Corte on our honeymoon and the lady at the desk gave us great recommendations for dinner as well as detailed directions to the best place to bathe in the river. The next morning we unfortunately had a puncture and, since our rental agency couldn't give a monkey's, they found someone to help us change the wheel. Such kindness from strangers... and the room (with a great balcony) was lovely, clean and extremely good value for a hotel right bang in the middle of the town. Such nice people.

My wife and I stayed for four nights in the Hotel Duc de Padoue. The hotel building is a piece of history as is the entire town. Inside the historic building were rooms that are brand new and so comfortable. The fixtures are excellent and the beds are superb. The Breakfast Room on the second floor was just perfect with fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt, juices and more. The ladies in charge were so charming, especially to us as Americans and not speaking much French. The Cafe du Cours was right around the corner serving good drinks and very tasty foods. Again, we were welcomed each day to be a part of the Cafe and the people. We shall return in the near future and want to relive our stay at the Hotel Duc de Padoue.

Recently renovated hotel conveniently located on a quiet square off the main road and yet a steps from the busy `main`street.
The hotel occupies onIy the first two floors of this old building. From the outside it looks not too promissing but the rooms have been nicely renovated.
The breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor was the highlight. We could have spent the entire morning there enjoying the variety and quality of the food and in particular the friendliness of the staff.
Great location, good sleep, good food, great people!

Nicely refurbished hotel, conveniently located on a calm square with parking spaces.
I can only confirm what other travellers said: the location is excellent and though the entrance of the building doesn't promise much, the hotel premises are tastefully decorated and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The eating area is very pleasant, with a few books and the daily newspaper for you to browse through. We especially enjoyed the generous breakfast buffet and would definitely go back.
