“GOOD FOOD”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

Dining room a little too big and lacks privacy but nevertheless, food was good (great meat, well cooked) and the portions generous. Good choice of local wines too. We did not regret

“great food & great service at a decent price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Ate here as it was down the road from where we were staying (10mins walk) which didnt have a restaurant.

Very impressed with the food - was fresh and delicious. The mixed cold meat starter was lovely, as was the tender lamb for the main. To begjn though, we were intentionally served by a waitress who could speak English (not at our request, guess it was obvious), and that was a massive bonus as we had no idea what was what in the menu. She kindly & patiently went through it with us.

Downside is that it's a tad expensive, but I guess you do pay for quality. It also has a nice rustic feel but honestly, it is very much for old(er) people. Not that it's a fault of the restaurants, or a problem (just an observation), but we were the youngest people there and we're in our early 30's! The clientele are from about mid-50's upwards.

One last thing to note, we walked but I recommend taking a car if you dont live in the hotel next to or opposite it. At night, there are NO lights on the road except that of hotels along it. Inbetween it is pitch black. Lucky I had enough battery on my phone which had a torch.

Otherwise, if you can afford it, a thoroughly recommended this restaurant.

“Excellent dinner”

So convenient from the Dominique Colonna...a walk across the parking lot...and our food was all excellent. Atmosphere was pretty nice too.

“wonderful location, good cousine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2011

The Auberge offers a good, family driven hotel and a rstaurant.
The place is amazing: on the restonica river, it's and old falily house made by stones, surrounded by green and hills. the restaurant offers a nice french type cousine, we liked the Restonica Filet as main dish.
quality/price rate is quite good: you pay the location, and the cousine is sufficiently good for the price, but you will not go home entusistic for what u have eaten.
If u go to corti try it !!

“Riverside restaurant - hearty food with friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2010

Review of restaurant only, not hotel rooms:

This restuarant could probably survive by tourist business alone due to the excellent location in the restonica valley...however the food and service suggests they genuinely attract regular customers who rate the place highly. We reserved a table earlier in the day and sat overlooking the river.

The food was served by a team of young , very friendly waitresses who ensured everything was served at a relaxed yet pace that suited our evening.
The food itself was of the rustic mountain style with deep rich flavours and hearty portions - great if you are walkers! Not sure vegetarians would have too much choice but then that is not really traditional mountain cuisine!

Would eat there again......
