We started planning to come back to this piece of paradise on our drive away last year. We loved both the villas and the Uvita area so much, we promised ourselves we'd come again soon. We were not disappointed.
We have stayed in both the villas and loved them both. Sarah has a great eye for decor.They are equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay here, with super comfy beds, TV/DVD's if you want,hammocks,kitchen,lounge chairs, outdoor dining.... We used the barbeque one night on our patio under the stars, followed by relaxing in the hottub. Sarah cooked us a gourmet meal another night_to die for! We also swam in the pool everyday at the end of our exploring the nearby beaches and activities.
We returned to the "whale tail" beach, truly spectacular. Watched surfers at Domincal beach. Spent time at Hacienda Baru hiking. And Playa Hermosa was a deserted, pristine beach, ideal for a day of reading and playing in the waves.
From this location you could also head south to explore the mangroves in Sierpe, or Osa. We had just come from Drake Bay so kept close to our home away from home.
Sarah and Paul have built a beautiful serene escape here and you couldn't find a better place or people. If you have pets at home you can also miss them a bit less by making friends with their birds, cats and dogs.
You can get as much or as little attention as you want here, so don't hesitate to ask for help with your activities if you want, but your hosts won't intrude if you're just after a little r&r.
I highly recommend Villas de las Aves to anyone (with a 4x4), you couldn't possibly regret a decision to stay here.
