Deserves six stars. Unspoiled natural beauty, beautiful accommodations, amazing breakfasts, and hosts that treat you like close friends. Tom and Cindy have created a simply amazing and magical place. TikiVillas blew our socks off (literally) on all fronts. We loved every minute.

Dear ads298, thank you so much for taking the time to post your feedback. It is so great to share this “little slice of paradise” and let the natural beauty of Costa Rican nature “blow the socks off” this is the way we first felt when we found this little haven and decided to build TikiVillas in harmony with the local environment. Thank you so much and hope to welcome you both again soon! Pura Vida! Cindy & Thomas

This place is wonderful. If you're thinking about staying here, book it, you wont be disappointed.

We are lucky enough to have travelled extensively, and we have stayed in many amazing 4 & 5 star boutique resorts. We were still blown away by this place.

The villas are amazing - you are basically living in the jungle but with a very comfy bed! The view is breathtaking, the outdoor showers are wonderful, the little kitchen is useful, the sounds of the jungle are fabulous!!!!!

The staff are outstanding. Edgar, in particular, made our stay. He is friendly, helpful, highly professional, goes the extra mile every time and an overall good guy. He welcomed us the moment we arrived and even started work a little early to see us leave on our final morning. Gary is also a real sweetheart. The owners also made an effort to welcome us & nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was wonderful!! What a great way to start the day. Thank you!

The only downside for us was that there is no onsite food for lunch or dinner. We ordered out most days, but there is really only one local option. The food was really good, but onsite catering would be MUCH better.

All in all, we loved it & will be back again soon. Thank you Edgar & TikiVillas.

Room Tip: all rooms seemed good!

Dear ShawsDubai, It was a pleasure to host you both at TikiVillas! And thank you so much for your wonderful review, it is especially rewarding to hear this from guests that travel so extensively to top hotels and still enjoyed our small personal creation that is TikiVillas. We have been listening to our guests and are very excited to say we will soon inaugurate our restaurant in November 2013 for our guest enjoyment of snacks, lunch and dinner. It has taken time because we want to do it right the first time and make sure it compliments TikiVillas and the standards our guests have come to expect from us. So we hope to welcome you both again at TikiVillas. Thank you! Pura Vida! Cindy & Thomas

My husband and I stayed at Tikivillas for four nights. The Bali-style bungalows are beautiful and spacious, opening to a large terrace with views of the jungle and ocean (you can hear the waves crashing at night). The modern bathroom has inside and outside showers, and there is a huge walk-in closet. There is kitchenette with small fridge, hot plate, sink and coffee maker. We didn’t get a room with AC, but the fans kept the temperature comfortable enough. The pool area is very relaxing. The staff were wonderful, especially Edgar. If you don’t like bugs, be sure to close the doors to the terrace at night. We had a few huge Cicada’s on our bed the first night!

TikiVillas was one of the most beautiful, relaxing places that we stayed at this year. We arrived to Edgar, the newest addition to the TikiVillas staff who was pleasant, accommodating and most helpful with anything we could possibly need or want to know. Edgar helped get our luggage to our villa and get us settled in. Clean beach towels were at reception to be used and we were offered a welcome drink when we were ready for it. Together with Thomas who was very knowledgeable they assisted us in deciding what to see, where to eat and information in general about what kind of food we would get at the various restaurants in the area, how far a drive places were. They gladly chatted with us, made reservations and generally made our stay there exceptional. We stayed for 4 wonderful days and enjoyed breakfast every morning starting with fresh fruit and several meal choices. I confirm Tripadvisor reviews that Cindy definitely makes the best Gallo Pinto I have ever tasted and I admit to enjoying it every morning we were there. Any time of the day we happened to be at the reception/pool area, Edgar or Thomas made a point of stopping for a brief chat and ensure that we wanted for nothing. Our afternoons consisted of a late afternoon soak in the infinity pool with a drink and a couple of hours of lying in a lounger or sitting in our villa with the folding doors open overlooking the ocean views and watching the toucans and other wildlife. All the villas face the ocean and the hinged door panels all fold fully back to leave the front wide open. TikiVillas is a truly special place. Our unit was thoughtfully stocked with two plates, glasses, coffee cups, wine glasses and a corkscrew. Cindy cleaned each villa daily and kept our little piece of heaven absolutely immaculate while we were there. You will however need a vehicle capable of making it up the dirt road to the parking lot. 4X 4 is suggested. There also a lot of stairs both to the reception and pool area from the parking area or to get to your villa. Well worth the effort to get there!!!

We were lucky enough to stay at Tiki Villas for 5 nights and WOW!! Absolutely everything here was beyond perfection - the amazing room, the beautiful views, the helpful staff, the delicious breakfast, the relaxing pool area and the great location.

We loved that there are only five villas, it meant the lodge was never too busy and it felt like our own paradise. We had villa 5 which was the most private, right at the end with a fantastic view on the rainforest and sea. The villa itself was really well designed, with a HUGE balcony. We had an AC room but didn't use it much, preferring to open the doors and listen to the sounds of the rainforest! The kitchenette was really useful and the jungle shower was a lovely touch.

Edgar and Gary make Tiki extra special. They were a pleasure to chat to everyday and were so helpful in suggesting local places to eat and things to do. And those special banana smoothies were delicious! Cindy and Thomas (the owners) are friendly, attentive and very welcoming – nothing is too much trouble.

Whilst there is no on site restaurant, there are lots of great places to eat nearby although you will need to drive or take a taxi. You can also have drinks in the main lounge area of the lodge. There is no bar menu, but don't be afraid to ask – we had a few drinks watching the sunset which was lovely.

Room Tip: We had villa 5 which seemed to be the most secluded/ private - it also has AC

We LOVED EVERYTHING about Tikivillas. The lodge is beautifully designed, and very well maintained. Our villa was perfect: very large room with king sized bed, kitchenette, outdoor and indoor showers and terrace with breathtaking views of the ocean and the jungle. We loved waking up to the sights and sounds of the birds, monkeys and the sea.

Tikivillas serves a delicious breakfast in their open air dining area. And we loved hanging out and sunbathing in their gorgeous ocean view infinity pool.

The owners, Cindy and Tomas, are great hosts and they assisted us with recommendations on restaurants and area beaches. Edgar, our waiter/ concierge, was super attentive and really made our stay enjoyable.

Tikivillas is truly one of the best places to stay in Uvita.

We stayed two days here on the end of our two weeks in the area. Staff were very accommodating. It offers a view of the ocean, hear the waves crashing the shore in the distance, privacy for the units as they are elevated. Your casita is a window to all that is nature. On our last night we lost count at 12 toucans in a nearby tree as they retreated to the montana for the night. Comfortable rooms, nicely appointed. The lodge offers a comp breakfast, a lounging area and a oceanview pool. For this price point you can't lose. The stairs from the parking to the lodge could be an issue for the elderly, but thats about all... thanks Thomas

Dear yakidelsur, thank you very much for choosing TikiVillas and taking the time to writing your feedback. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and your Villa as well as got to see Toucans and other wildlife during your stay. We are in the process of upgrading various facilities and one of these is a new access road and parking with a ramp to the main clubhouse and pool that will make TikiVillas accessible to all. We hope to welcome you both here in our small slice of Rainforest paradise! Pura Vida! Cindyy & Thomas
