“Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

The rooms are beautiful, with large beds and very good bathrooms. The whole side of the bungalow opens up so you almost feel like you're on the balcony whilst still in bed. The views are amazing over the rainforest and ocean. We saw lots of wildlife in the grounds including toucans and monkeys right from the pool side and peccaries in the forest walk down to the beach.
Only drawbacks were distance from Uvita and lack of a restaurant, which is a shame as the club house is so beautifully lit at nice, it would have been great to eat there. We didn't have a car and I wouldn't recommend that as getting taxis was inconvenient and expensive.
This is a special place, and with only five rooms you are given personal treatment. The pool is the perfect temperature and fantastic to just sit in it and admire the view.
This place looked good on the website, but was just amazing when we were there. We treated ourselves to somewhere special for Christmas and this was the best present ever!
Welcome cocktails were yummy too!

“Camping under 4.5 stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

I always joke that the only camping I do is under four or five stars. Well, this was a first. Our room opened on three sides to the jungle and ocean. Infinity pool, perfect breakfast, perfect hosts, idyllic location. Just know that you ARE in the jungle - critters and all. I would return in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: I am not sure there is a bad room. We had room 3, which was the highest up and maybe has the best vi...

“Pacific Coast Pura Vida!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Our group of 4 couples stayed in mid November and would recommend Tiki Villas to anyone looking for a great place to visit the west coast. The view of the ocean and the jungle sounds are an experience that will last forever in our conversations about our wonderful trip to Costa Rica. We would wake at dawn to the sounds of the Howler monkeys getting their troops together for the day's adventure. Breakfasts of TicoTypical foods were the best way to start our daily adventures and a relaxing swim in the infinity pool before dinner and drinks was wonderful. Any problems were quickly solved and our stay could not have been any better, only longer. We hope to return again soon.

“Incredible place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

My wife and I stayed for a week Dec 1-8 on our first trip to Costa Rica. We had read all the good reviews, and found TikiVillas to be the perfect place to stay for anumber of reasons:
*The views are incredible. From our balcony, we could see the Pacific in one direction and the rainforest in another. Toucans passed by frequently. And the plants and flowers that adorned the grounds were just beautiful.
*The facilities and service were top-notch. They designed and built TikiVillas to be the kind of place they would want to stay when traveling. Their care and attention to detail shows in everything. The facilities are not rustic by any means. From the infinity pool to the candle-lit pavilion to the rooms, themselves, everything was so polished and well thought out.
*The owners, Thomas and Cindy, provide amazing service. The breakfast they serve every morning is delicious. They will talk to you about what you want to see, where you might want to eat, and make good recommendations. They will even make your reservations for you.
*The location. You can easily get to remote beaches, more crowded ones, hiking trails, boat tours, etc. Great access to good restaurants.

In short, it's a great place to stay. It will exceed even lofty expectations. It did for us.

Room Tip: All villas are great. We did not need air condition at all.

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

Four nights there was not enough! You do need a 4WD to get there, but it is worth it. The owner was wonderful and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. The setting and view was beautiful...especially from the infinity edge pool. There was so much to do in the area, but I didn't want to leave the pool or the bungalows.
I can't wait to go back!!!!
