We stayed at Luz de Luna Hotel during the Envision Festival in Uvita. It is hard to express in words how wonderful the experience was in every way. The hosts, Felipe and Patricia, are completely dedicated to assuring that every guest is completely happy. We were treated like royalty. Felipe and Patricia went out of their way to show us local sites and make us feel like welcome family at the hotel Accomodations were comfortable, clean, and in top working condition Newly remodeled, the rooms are lovely, and the bathrooms very comfortable. Wifi and air conditioners work perfectly, and the pool with wet bar was lovely. The grounds were beautiful and very secure. Safety is so important when traveling! The breakfasts, which were included in the price, were extraordinary. I have stayed at many hotels, but have never had breakfast of the quality they serve. Fresh fruit, a huge variety of grilled vegetables, avocados, eggs, rice and beans, bacon, potatoes, excellent bread, cheeses, were served every morning. The meal was so satisfying we didn't have to eat again till dinner! And the Fogata Restaurant on site had fantastic food and service. The chicken asada was roasted at the wood fire rotisserie every day. Bruchetta and Pizza was better than any I have tasted in California. All in all, Luz de Luna offers some of the best hospitality, caring, service, and spirit we have ever experienced during a hotel stay!

I was in Uvita for nearly a week performing for the Envision Festival. Felipe, Patricia and their staff genuinely were my saving grace. They treated us like family with such love and care including smiles, hugs and real concern for our needs. They shared everything with us. Felipe even came to get us one day when we were running late! And breakfast was beyond delicious with grilled vegetables, fresh fruit and eggs. We stayed in the Casita and had our own kitchen, but the food was so delicious in the restaurant, we preferred to eat there. Thank you Luz de Luna!

We spent a long weekend here and had the best possible time! The owners, Felipe and Patricia are 2 of the most accommodating hotel and restaurant owners I have ever met! And I am a Resort Manager and have been traveling in many many places in the world... The breakfast buffet was perfect, filling and healthy! The pizzas were very good and the service was quick! The rooms were very clean and the pool was cute! The location was great as it is in between the national park and beautiful waterfalls. Thank you Luz de Luna for an amazing time!

My wife and I just stayed in Hotel Luz the Luna for three nights, and although we have not stayed in other places in the area, we can highly recommend it. The place is run and managed by owners Patricia and Felipe, both super nice people and the most attentive and service oriented staff. They take good care of you and your interests not only when at the Hotel but also if you want to take a tour or want to visit a spot nearby. They will make you feel at home for sure!!
The place is cozy and it has a nice refreshing pool that will sooth your body and soul after a good day of exploring the amazing Marino Ballena National park. Although rooms are not super big, the space is enough and very comfortable. The bathroom is nice and spacious and the water pressure is excellent (sometimes hard to find in CR). AC, TV and WIFI all worked great!
A great advantage of staying at Hotel Luz de Luna is that you will be in a very convenient spot close to supermarkets and restaurants as well as all other attractions. The place is not in the main road, but only 200 mts away from it. That means no noise from the Costanera highway and also easy access to it.
We enjoyed very much eating at La Fogata restaurant. The breakfast was literally awesome! They had it ready buffet style and there was all sorts of great stuff! We also ate there at night and tried their capresse salad, pizza and chicken. All great! Capresse salad was so good and fresh that we had it twice.
So, bottom line is do not search more. This is the place to stay if visiting Uvita!
