We stayed the majority of our week in the Manuel Antonio area, but decided to book two nights at Oxygen for a little road trip and more "luxury" getaway. The drive up to the resort was really something! I do not recommend walking it, unless you are a world-class hiker!
The villas are really beautiful and unique. We loved being able to hear the sights and see the sounds from inside our own little glass box. The pool area was relaxing and quiet, I enjoyed the soft music playing and the staff were always around to bring you water or drinks.
We ate in the restaurant for a number of meals. The food was good - some meals were better than others. The coffee was really great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just a nit-picky note to management: you might consider having staff uniforms or a more strict dress code. Upon our arrival, the guy at reception was wearing a printed tee and some cargo shorts, and I didn't know whether he worked there or was a guest, which was a little confusing. For such a upscale place, it might not be a bad idea.
We also booked a couples massage while we were there, which may have been one of the best parts of our stay. They set up our own little spa right outside our villa, totally private and really cool. It started to rain during the massage (not on us!) and it was so relaxing to hear. The massage therapists were excellent.
While we were there, the staff was helpful in booking us a zipline tour, which we really enjoyed.
Just a note of warning (and not about the hotel!): BRING INSECT REPELLENT AND USE IT! My husband and I both were infected with a mosquito-borne illness and were VERY sick when we got home. I'm currently on two anti-biotics and they're still not sure what it is. Not sure if we picked it up in Uvita or MA, but be on the safe side and don't end up like us.
Another quick note: While we were down at the beach at Uvita, a group of American tourists had all of their belongings stolen by a man who jumped out of the jungle and grabbed all of their purses, WHILE they were sitting there. Be very careful about your things.
Neither of these two notes are specific to the hotel, just some traveling tips.
All in all, we liked our stay at Oxygen a lot.
We stayed in a ocean-view. The ocean is pretty far off, would try a jungle-view next time.

It is great hearing that you had a beautiful relaxing time in the hotel, loved the glass villas, the unique style of the hotel and especially enjoyed the couples massage.
We have already implemented the staff uniform and heard positive comments about them. We totally agree that it is extremely necessary to have uniforms in a hotel since this way you get to distinguish the staff.
I am extremely sorry that you got infected by a mosquito-borne illness and truly hope you both recovered to your fullest. Unfortunately this happens in third-world countries and it has happened before in the Manuel Antonio area. In our area, especially on the mountain where we are located it is not very common and we have actually not heard of these type of incidents before.
Thank you again for your positive comments!
