What fortunate thing to have taken my first tropical retreat at The Sanctuary. I cannot imagine a better place exists. The retreats combination of a true rustic natural setting with very tastefully well designed facilities, schedule and impeccable vegan menu made the week magical. You have options to do your own thing or join the day's schedule of yoga and excursions. The pace, people, and entire flow of the week worked wonders. I did transform a bit and returned very restored and lifted! Highest recommendations for this place.

Room Tip: All excellent and I believe much the same—one layout. cannot go wrong!

Just came back one week ago from The Sanctuary. The best parts were: the amazing healthy delicious healing filling meals prepared by Chef Michelle; the beautiful caring staff, the setting is absolutely beautiful, the landscape, flowers, trees, assortment of birds, etc. It was a surprisingly profound lifestyle changing place for me. I loved the remoteness, the 15 min or so walk to get to the actual retreat didnt bother me at all. It is really getting away from it all and learning what is impirtant in life. Must bring river shoes and also flashlight for nighttime! I'll be back for sure.

Warning! YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO WANT TO LEAVE!! This place is amazing! Set in the jungle of beautiful Costa Rica this sanctuary is awesome! Private water falls, hiking trails, great staff, food that will leave you waiting for the next meal, custom built tree houses, and the most beautiful yoga pagoda you may ever practice in. Oh, and the panoramic views from the top of the property....just thinking about it makes me want to return! I'm already looking forward to going back in a few years. So throw out any debate if you are on the fence about visiting Two Rivers and do it....but like i said, you aren't going to want to leave.....

Entering The Sanctuary at Two Rivers is like immersing yourself in the garden of eden. A beautiful and peaceful setting separated from the everyday. You are in the jungle. Howler monkeys wake you up and butterflies dance at your side as you stroll through the landscaped gardens and reflect on it all in a lovely pool positioned within trees of green. The food is enticing - did I say "off-the-charts-delicious"?! And make sure to get a massage. The owner Jeff greets guests with a calm presence and welcoming demeanor. I plan to bring a group next year to participate in a professional dance business retreat. Counting the days until my return to this paradise.

Room Tip: Treehouses are divine.

The Sanctuary far exceeds any and all expectations for a yoga retreat destination place. The success of my retreat had everything to do with the majesty of this spiritual hot spot. From the beautiful and exciting journey to getting there, the healing air, the river, the indescribable property, the food (let me repeat that, THE FOOD) the staff-I could go on and on. Another key component to the success of my retreat (besides the amazing people that I was blessed to spend a week with) was the yoga accommodations. The Sanctuary has created a yoga pagoda nestled in the middle of the jungle, making each class an immersion with nature, air and self. In addition to the yoga pagoda being stocked with blocks, straps, mats, bolsters and more-a meditation room sits patiently waiting for hearts and minds to enters. The Sanctuary has thought of everything, from the most subtle of details like the pathway leading you from place to place, to the grand efforts of solar power and eco-friendliness. There are not enough words to describe the beauty of this exquisite location-the effort, heart and devotion that has gone into creating, building and running The Sanctuary left me and my retreat participants inspired, empowered and in love.

Room Tip: All of this will be taken care of for you..

We recently held a yoga retreat at The Sanctuary at Two Rivers. I knew that The Sanctuary was a beautiful retreat center from what I heard from other visitors, but I was in for a surprise... a good surprise!

This place is absolutely magical and peaceful! The design and construction of the facility has been thoughtfully executed with the surrounding nature in mind. You feel one with the jungle in every part of the facility; form the very spacious rooms, to the yoga pagoda, yet you are in the comfort of their beautiful eco-modern spaces.
There were plenty of activities to engage in during our stay at The Sanctuary, from hiking to waterfalls, to strolling around the 40-acre property admiring the wildlife, walking down to the beach, and visiting the charming little Town of Montezuma 15 minutes away, or you could just opt for hanging out by the pool reading a good book.

With great knowledge and professionalism, Jeff and his amazing staff ensured we had a transformational week by providing us with delicious and healing foods, guided excursions around the property, and accommodating each and every one of our students needs as best as they could.

A must visit for yogis/yoginis and nature lovers alike! We can’t wait to bring another group to experience jungle living at it's best!
