“Up & Away!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in April. The location of the resort is amazing, it overlooks the valley which also has a dam built in it.!! The resort is right o the edge of a jungle and there are lots of trees in the resort premises. It is located far away from the main market & the road to this place can get quiet scary in the night.
The food quality was above average. The swimming pool is clean and well maintained. Swimming pool is next to the restaurant & is center of all the activities. They have fixed activity schedule for the day with Jungle walk in the morning, movies in the afternoon, Housie/entertainment show in the evening. They have indoor facilities like pool table, carom, foosball, etc. to keep you busy. The spa is good and professionally managed by Kare from Mulshi. Both me & my wife used the spa and found it really good. The staff are courteous.
We had booked a valley deluxe room. The room is a bit cramped for space. The room had a good valley view, but the best valley view (for photographers) is from the terrace.
The overall weather in mahabaleshwar was pleasant. Even at 35 degree in the afternoon it had a feeling of being at a hill-station and it got chilly after the sunset.

Had a nice stay for 3 days at Ramsukh Resorts. We had booked Valley Suite, which has nice valley view.
Service, cleanliness, location - everything simply superb.
Bit let down by food; taste-wise, not quality or service-wise.
If one could afford it, its one of the best for sure. Highly recommended for couple as well as family.
If you want to have easy access to market, venna lake area, not recommended as its in old mahabaleshwar. Market visit would cost you about 500/- for round trip. But if you want to lie down & chill, this is the one!!

The hotel is set at a quite high altitude and is located in Old Mahabhaleshvar. We had booked for a valley suite room however the room we were offered had a large tree obstructing the valley view. Although the resorts advertise the rooms as valley view you only get a partial view of the valley. I believe they are marketing incorrectly. Rooms were clean but quite dated. The valley view suites didnt have A/C in them. To be honest you do not need A/C at night because it gets quite cool in the evenings and during the day most visitors are visiting the view points. Hence a fan does the job. The service and entertainment at this resort was very poor whilst the food was average. For breakfast there wasn't a selection of fruits considering India has abundance of fruits on offer. Service provide by the staff was very poor. The staff lacked the initiative of greetings - welcomes, thanks you's e.t.c

Whilst checking out the reception staff made error on the charges and didn't even bother to apologise.

You can get great sunrise shots from the garden by the reception. Check sunrise time the day before and prepare your gear to be ready to view the bright orange sun rising above the valleys.

This is one of the most well-located resort in Mahabaleshwar. We traveled here during summer season (peak times) with a group of 4 families. The hotel is pure veg and food is awesome for all veg lovers. The food style is mostly marwadi/gujrati and feels very homely food. The hotel provides round the clock efficient room service. We had to get special food prepared for our kid of 2 years and the hotel staff didn't mind it preparing this at late hours even after 10 pm. The rooms are also very beautiful. At Ramsukh resorts every room is a suite, well decorated and spacious. There is also a small kitchen in each suite. We stayed in the Forest Suite. The resort is picturesque on hill and early morning you can feel the dew and it's cold even during summers. Overall a recommended property for anyone planning for a vacation in Mahabaleshwar.

Going by the property pictures & names of room as mentioned, you will have a BIG setback after visiting the place. We had gone out with Family & book place of 4 in top room for 3 nights, just to realise that the staff allocated a room of 2 & just laid down additional 2 beds in the hall which was very cramped. The manager (Mr. More) kept giving us wrong assurance of providing additional room (provided for one day) then sold it for additional money to new customer. He mentioned that his owner has also refused for it.
Funniest part is that they serve Mineral water just on 1st day (irrespective you have booked for one or 3 days)
The food staff seemed in too much hurry to wind up all suppers & every time you (almost 20-30 people) had to fight for your food which is part of package.
Service in room was in average 1.5-2 hrs most times.
Caution : Please take commitments in writing if you still wish to visit the place, because most of the verbal commitments will be denied.

Dear Guest Thanks for sharing your feedback with TripAdvisor community. Clarifications made are mentioned below :-

1)Some guests want to stay together with their children & still have the budget . hence a little feeling of crammed. but the choice is of the guests & hotel should not be held responsible for the same.

2) A record is maintained of guests who have the meals. when it is observed that all the guests have had their are meals they start preparing to close , but never before the official closing time.

3) We have kept our commitment 100 % above that & accommodated the guest to the maximum & shall continue to relentlessly do so , even though it was a full season.
in the owners opinion we have provided the best possible infrastructure for the guest to enjoy at the most competitive price any where in the country.

Guest satisfaction is our motto. We expect your stay at our resort again.

Overall a good experience staying at 'The Hut' for 2 nights. You get what is promised on the website. Food can be improved though, make it a little less greasy.

Pros: Good location, well maintained property, loved the idea of 'The Hut', personal care products provided in the room are really good, resort has indeed taken efforts to retain maximum possible trees, quite a few activities to keep you engrossed for a couple of days.

Cons: Vegetarian kitchen only (is a con if you are non-veggie), lunch consists of thali which has a lot of variety but nevertheless a thali!, swimming pool needs to be maintained (the water seemed murky, anyways it was quite cool to use it)

Room Tip: If you like solitude in natural surroundings, try 'The Hut' with its unique ambiance of wood...

Excellent place to stay at Mahabaleshwar. The location of the resort is also very nice, as it is outside the hustle / bustle of the town. This place is a self contented place and one need not go to the town area unless it is really warranted. Children will love this place, as it has amenities to keep them busy.

The room, food and service were good. The people at the resort were courteous.
