4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2011

We have organised a workshop at Brightland Resot & Spa, Mahabaleshwar during 7-9, january 2011. Everone enjoyed the stay. food was too good with many variations in menu.
They need to improve the conference Hall which is quite big but looks little old.
locations of the resot is very good away from market.

Thank you for your positive feedback. We have noted your suggestion on upgrading the conference room, which we shall do so during this year. By the way, we also have a brand new conference room, The Board Room which can accomodate 32 delegates with state of the art facilities and a all wood ambience. We hope to see you again at Brightland. Happy Holidaying!

Brightlands has always been my choice esp. because of its food and location. Its located on hill top with a fantastic hill view. The only problem is that its very secluded and is in the interiors and its difficult to find your way through esp. if you are going for the first time. Also, its better to have your own conveyance if you want to leave the hotel and roam in the town; else you will have to hire the hotel travel services. Its Spa facilities are really amazing and refreshing. The food at its restaurant is also the best in mahabaleshwar esp. the pizzas and pastas. They also have buffet facility,. The rooms are quirte spacious and most of them have hill side views. The pool is mostly non-functional as its a hilly area and comparatively colder. Its very good if you are looking for a weekend getaway with the sole purpose of relaxation.

I had read a lot about it in outlook traveller and so went there, it was dream come true. Location of hotel on Kate's point is just great. Rooms i had selected from there brilliant website, which offer 360 degree view of room and it was as shown. The best thing about them is there food. They have 4 different restaurants and they offer different cuisine. Breakfast with there homemade merlmaid and south indian food is just delicious, it is delight to watch chef make the thing u hv ordered. Services are also quite good. We enjoyd our stay a lot in this homely atmosphere of resort. it is a quite a big resort so u can roam around.

brightlands was a complete surprise... from the room we stayed in to the food we ate and ofcourse the view from this resort is fantaastic ..the new oaksuite was spacious and cozy that icould spend my entire weekend in the room , the best part abt the room was its bathroom which was twice the size of our room ,had an indoor aswell as outdoorshower area..the only good reason we could find to leave our room was the thin crust pizzas they make in their wood oven and strawberries and cream for dessert !

we highly recommend this resort to any travellers to mahabaleshwar! you will be pleasantly surprised with the warmth of the staff and the quality of living.

One of the few good hotels in the town of Mahabaleshwar which is a 6 hrs drive from Mumbai. Dec to Feb is probably the best time to visit as you can enjoy the cool climate. The place is decent and food quality is good. Staff is courteous and helpful. Prices are slightly higher than other hotels in the vicinity but it is worth it.

One can go the lake and couple of view points around the place and it is an ideal place for a holiday and rejuvenation. One can also do farm picking for various fruits and vegetables but mainly for strawberries which is the best.
