“golf course mahabaleshwar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We went to Mahabaleshwar this summer and it was extremely crowded . While seraching for a suitable place to park our vehicle near the market area , we chanced upon a signpost mentioning ' golf ' , We then came to know that there is a place called ' the club ' in mahabaleshwar which provides golf activity , The golf course is very nice , and they have training options for amateurs . Prices are a bit steep Rs 400 for 50 balls , but overall a good experience , far away from the maddening crowds swarming Mahabaleshwar in summer and a good game of golf possible for all the golf lovers .
Timings morning 9 am to 12 pm
Evenings 4 to 6
Location - The club Mahabaleshwar , very near the market area , next to indian oil bungalows

“Good weekend gataeway, excellent weather. however good food was a concern”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Must visit for all, but do visit Pancgani, Wai & Pratapgarh Fort as well. Strawberry with cream is must, chocolate fudge was a let down.

“Average hill station”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

One area where the Maharashtra Government deserves kudos - is in their ability to develop average places into tourist destinations. Roads are good. Eateries along the way are generally clean- and weekend trips out of Mumbai are always nice because driving is such fun.

Mahabaleshwar is a classic example. There are some great scenes here (maybe 6or 7 views of the same valley from different hills around) - but the way in which these have been hyped up is praiseworthy. To a person from the plains around, this may be heavenly - but to a person like me, born and brought up in actual hills (not Ghats), Mahabaleshwar seemed average. Worth visiting once though - and because it is the closest to Mumbai, I may visit once or twice more (Driving down from Mumbai is a lot of fun in itself)
