“PATHETIC HOTEL”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

Travelers never stay in this hotel. Rooms are shabby, stinking and ill maintained.

The bed linen are soiled and have bad patches in it.
Room walls are filled with marks.
Bathroom and toilet are stinking and filled with Mosquitoes and earth worms.
Hot water is available for an hour or so in a day.
Food is not good and still priced exorbitant.
Hotels own Sight seeing cabs are there to mint money. Drivers skip sight seeing points and still on the look out for money.
Reception desk personnel and their service is pathetic.

Room Tip: All rooms are bad. check other Hotels

The hotel is located in the main market of Mahabaleshwar and is at walking distance from ST bus stand. This hotel is okay for medium budget. Since this is surrounded all sides except entrance by other hotels, there is no open space and sun rays never enter the rooms, the rooms were dark and very cold compared to outside temperature. There is no restaurant but food services are provided in the rooms. Food was like home made and good. Staffs were co-operative.

Room Tip: First floor or second floor room better than ground floor

The hotel is very good, comfortable and there is good privacy as well. The staff is friendly and although it does not have restaurant, the room service is available for breakfast lunch and dinner. The rooms are amazingly clean.
Absolutely recommended

I have been visiting Karad on and off for an upcoming project and have had to stay at Pankaj Executive for lack of options. The hotel has standard Air Conditioned and Delux AC accomodation options and there is even a hall and staying arrangement for large/marraige parties etc. Among the amenities that they offer, there is a useful front desk which is quite reliable in arranging cars or on giving some know-how about the region in general; there is a functional gym with very limited equipment and also a garden which was always run over by those marraige parties. The restaurant serves only vegetarian fares and we had to always run off to the next door Sangam for local non-veg delicacies. Priced at between INR 1000 to 2000 depending upon your room, although the hotel has basic infrastructure in place, the housekeeping definetly needs a quick makeover considering the number of Indian nationals as well as foreign guests that frequent it.

Room Tip: Ask for a delux air condition option

Family run business run like grocery store. don't even think of this place. Better avoid than repent. Bad room, poor service & no cleanliness. Does'nt even match near to what they claim in their website.

Pankaj Executive-Mahabaleshwar - near market
Date: August 6th to 8th, 2010.

We stayed here for Leisure with friends had booked total 5 rooms, the pricing was decent, Break fast was good, but Lunch Pathetic.
Rooms are good and clean. Mr Singh at the reception is very arrogant and was behaving as if he has let us stay for free.
there was lot of miscommunication on order acceptence for room service.there is no dedicated person to answer your call and there is no guarantee if your order was noted.
On asking at the counter for my order Mr. Singh started counter questioning me. i literally had an argument with him.

I would recommend this hotel to people who are on a stringent budget and for whom service doesnt matter.
