“Great food, amazing view, most relaxing atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We've been the luckiest people to have Bahari restaurant as neighbours for more than 2 weeks. Staying in the lovely house next door we couldn't imagine a better place to hang out, for dinner or lunch or even breakfast. The chef makes excellent seafood, curry, pizza and pasta. All food is made with care, even the sandwiches are mouthwatering, fresh bread (very rare in Zanzibar) with sausage, salami or anything else. Next to the food it's just a really lovely place to hangout (day or evening) with an incredible view on the ocean. They have free wifi, which was very handy. The owners, Stefani and Iddi, put the heart in the place and do anything to make their guests feel at home. The rest of the team is very easy going and are fun young guys that made us laugh many times. If you're lucky you will get a impressive Kung fu performance of one of the staff, this sweet young man changes from a shy and sweet guy into a professional Sensei of martial arts.
Behind the restaurant there are also 2 charming bungalows made out of local wood and palmleave, the look so nice.
We wish Stefani and Iddi all the luck in the world as they've made us feel very much at home and we thank them for a lovely time in Jambiani.
Oh...forgot one caractere you cannot miss; Gigi, the restaurant cat. Very chatty sweet little grumpy cat that does his italian name right.

“Great food, great people and excellent chef.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013 via mobile

If you are looking for a relaxed place with nice music and excellent local and italian food, this is the place to go. We have the advantage that they are our neighbours for the next two weeks, so thumbs up. The salad is accompanied with extra virgen olive oil, nobody can top that. Pizza, pasta and seafood even a yoga / kung fu session in the morning is on the menu. All in all a cosy and welcoming bar restaurant. You can also stay overnight in the handmade bungalows just 20 meters from the beach.

“Excellent pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

We dropped by just to have wood stove baked pizza and it was excellent. The real Italian pizza and good cold Kilimanjaro beer!!!
On the negative side, we have spent 15 minutes driving around and trying to find a place. If you are looking for this place than just walk along the beach. Finding the place from the village is a nightmare.

“Best place to stay and eat in Jambiani”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

We slept in one of the makuti banda, that they built behind the restaurant and was perfect, clean and confortable, also very big.
The food there is the best of all Jambiani and the owners and the staff make us feel like if we were at home
Best option if you don't like resorts!!!
