“Great for travel with some extra space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012 via mobile

Love staying here as very convenient. Having kitchenette and laundry in the rooms is wonderful with a supermarket a short stroll away. Stay away from room 224 as the signage from the business next door is lit all night and could be annoying.

Hi,

Great to hear that you like our location and in-room kitchen and laundry! Thanks for your feedback regarding room 224 and we haven taken on board your comments. With our upcoming refurbishment, we will be changing the blinds in that room so that the light from the signage can be blocked out.

We appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcome you back again!

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Stayed here for one night. Rooms are basic but quite clean. Check in service not that friendly and car parking can be a real problem if you are not early. This hotel has no restaurants and be prepared for a good walk to find something decent. There are better accommodations available in the city for a similar price

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback on our clean rooms. We are sorry to hear that your check-in experience has not been up to your expectation and the challenges you had to deal with for carpark and restaurants.

At Quest Richmond, we strive to provide you with exceptional services. If you can contact Renee or Sharine at Tel: 03 9267 1000, we will definitely love the opportunity to discuss with you on how we can further improve our front office services.

With carpark, we do have limited spots available on site so they do get booked out in advance. However, there are alternatives off the street carpark and within 200m, the Epworth hospital has a huge carpark that you may consider using.

Unfortunately, we do not have restaurants on-site. With our exclusive arrangements with several chargeback restaurants located within 250m from the property, there's option to dine at these restaurants and enjoy the convenience of having your meals chargeback to your room. Some of these chargeback restaurants also do food delivery to Quest Richmond. In addition, our spacious kitchen also comes with full crockery and utensiles to allow you to whip up a nice. simple meal if you like.

Once again, thank you for your feedback and we will love to hear from you again.

Kind Regards,
Renee / Sharine

Nice appartment in a good location , not far from the city and just a few steps off Bridge rd and close to shopping and resurants and 24hr handi shop . Clean and well fitted out with cooktop and dishwasher and fair sized fridge . The room was quiet . Check in was easy . Only down side was parking the car ( book and confirm car park well in advance )

lovely, friendly and helpful front desk staff. upgraded to a bigger room when the first room we were given the key to already had a suitcase in it!! (not front desk staff's fault) .. but we were glad to have been upgraded. very very handy location, right on bridge road - perfect for the show at the corner hotel we were going to that night.

Stayed here only for 1 night on business but wished it were longer. The hotel is just off Bridge Road where all the great shopping is and is close to cafes & restaurants too.

The staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with anything which was also great to see.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, well equipped with kitchen and internal laundry. The rooms themselves were very quiet even though you are located close to all the action.

A couple of small things in the rooms which were a little odd - the iron doesn't fill easily with water at all and the soap dish was broken but all very, very minor things in an otherwise fantastic stay

If you are in Melbourne on a family holiday (to watch an AFL game for instance, like some of the customers here), or for work (like myself and a few others), I would highly recommend the Quest in Richmond.
First off, the location is perfect. You are about 20 minutes away by walking from Federation Square, 10 minutes away from the Melbourne Cricket Ground and right in the heart of Richmond, possibly one of the cuttest area a city can offer. You are close to the tram and the metro, as well as plenty of pretty good restaurants. The general feeling of the area is probably better than the Quest on Lonsdale (in the heart of the city, but in the shade of the tall modern buildings).
The hotel itself is great, very modern, the service is perfect, the personnel is discrete and helpful (they were ready to print about 30 pages of documents for me, and they had prepared my arrival for 5 am).
The suite I was in was particularly nice. I had a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a washing machine and dryer, as well as a living room with a comfortable couch and a clean well equiped room adjacent to a bathroom. Also clean and equipped.
Really, the only detail that bothered me was the minibar. If you have any self respect do not touch any of it. For 25 dollars you can buy much better wine down the street (Trentham Pinot Noir, 12 dollars, very decent), for a quarter of the price you'll get the same cadbury bar, and if you go a couple of streets away you will find a top notch beer store with "Murray's Grand Cru" which blasts anything they dared put in my fridge. Really. Just go buy Murray's Grand Cru. It'll blow your mind.

So Quest Richmond: great location, great standard, clean, good service, but lame minibar. However the neighbourhood makes up for it. And go to the beer store down Bridge road.

Also when getting to the hotel, if you have time and are travelling alone don't waste your money on a 20 (or is it more?) dollar coach when you have a perfectly good bus going from the Tiger Terminal to the metro station. Then you take the metro into the city, change at Flinders Street and take any train that stops at Richmond. You walk ten minutes and you're there.

Room Tip: Ask for 216, you'll get the sunrise.
