“A great find in Bridge Rd nr the Quest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We liked the prices of their breakfast offerings I must admit. For around $20 two people can have a cooked breakfast with coffee...great value.
The coffee is sensational...strong in a European way but beautifully balanced and not bitter.
We sat out front the first few times (we ate here every day during our last visit!) just to watch the crowd passing by, but when we went for lunch we sat out the back in the quaint little courtyard. If you choose this spot remember people can smoke here:(
The service was friendly and quick so you could be in and out of there in under 30mins if you had a tight schedule.
It is definitely on our list of "must go back" places. Very cute:)

“You get what you pay for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

At $13.50 per meal you can't be overly critical of the meals here. In summary, if you're after a real foodie Melbourne cafe experience, keep looking. This is not the place. If you want a very standard, quick meal made from cheap supermarket ingredients, without burning a hole in your wallet - this would be it.

We had lunch and the corn fritters with salmon were strangely sweet - not helped by the fact they used a heavily sweetened dessert yoghurt instead of plain yoghurt. Afterwards I pointed out the mistake to the waitress and she was very good about it, and, admitted they too thought they had used the wrong yoghurt but lost the argument with the cook out the back.

The "scotch fillet" was quite chewy but hey - it was very cheap so it is not fair to be too critical here.

Compliments to the service staff - they were working hard. Service was snappy and friendly. Meals were all presented at the same time for all 6 of us - and we didn't have to wait long.

“Food amazing, quick service, quiet location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

The title says it all. We went for breakfast and came across this by the previous reviewer on trip advisor. We weren't disappointed. Ordered breakfast and had it in front of us within 5 minutes of ordering.

The food was perfect. We would of ordered more food if we could. Whilst not located in the heart of bridge street it is definitely worth a visit if your up for a good brekkie and iced mocha

“Found this restaurant by chance.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Had been to Epworth Hospital Richmond and was looking for somewhere close to have some lunch. The restaurant has tables on the street and about 8 tables inside.
When you sit down you are handed menus and a glass bottle of water and glasses are put on the table.
it is quite a large menu for a small place and I watched the meals coming out and the food was very well presented. The servings are very large so you might like to keep this in mind when ordering as you may like to share plates.
They have a wonderful shiny red coffee machine and of course matching red coffee cups and saucers and mugs..The two waitresses were polite, happy and helpfull they do everything making coffee, toasting things warming up food etc and then serve the cooked meals from the kitchen.
They worked very hard in the hour we were there and always had a smile and a happy word for the customers.
Our meals were Mild Spiced Indian Curry cost $13,50 and Prawn Penne with Salad $15 they were delicious and there is really so much to choose from the menu. We had hoped the restaurant was open of an evening but they close at 5pm but open for breakfast.
