We have been camping at kioloa now for 5 years. We have, in 5 years, been more and more disapointed and are truly considering never returning and also spreading the word of how bad it has become. we have seen a massive jump in price yet really nothing to show for it. They are charging $50 per night for a section of leaf and debris soaked dirt (unpowered) with an additional $13 per night for our son. Our son is 10 years old and sleeps in our tent, the fact they charge is for him at all angers me. The shower water is still dam water and is brown and stinky. There is NO safe drinking water, even though they claim their is. The showers which is again dirty dam water cost u 20 cents for only a few minutes, to wash your clothes is $4 a pop, dryers are $2 a pop and half the time they don't even work!!!!! The absolute worst part is the managers!!!!! The staff are rude, obnoxious and only smile when you pay them money. They tell everybody different stories about re-booking for the following year saying "you need to wait until April" for a different site. This infuriates me as my theory is, if your there at the time and you want a site for the following year and NO-ONE has booked it, let me book it, too bad so sad for anybody else. Also they say to some u must book for a minimum of 7 days over the xmas holiday, this is bull crap too as i saw, in 2 weeks about 5 different groups of people stay on 1 camp site for 1 or 2 nights each, so the staff need to STOP lying!!!!! and Do they not realise that by making people wait until April to fight over a bit of dirt is the reason the park is losing customers every year. I want to know then and there what I'm doing for the following year, not waiting until April pffffff????? Over the 5 years we have been there I have seen the numbers drop dramatically, surely this says something???? The only good thing about the place is its close location to the beach...however there are WAY BETTER places to stay rather then here... Be warned people, u will be disappointed!!!!!!!

May I please comment on a few of your points in your review as follow....
The majority of parks have a nightly fee structure for 2 persons and then an add on for additional persons. While our shower water comes from our dam on our property the drinking water is tank water consisting of either rain water or town water brought in by water carrier.
Our booking policy for the Christmas school holiday period is a minimum booking period of seven nights. However, if a guest books for ten nights sometimes this will create a three night gap which we will fill. In addition, if on the 26th December we still have vacancies, we open our books for any booking-regardless of length of stay. If you book early in the year you will be required to take a minium seven nights. Our books open on the 1st April each year for new bookings for the coming Christmas period-this enables us to enter our re-books from the previous Christmas so our regular guests can be assured of their normal site.
