“Good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

We had dinner here and enjoyed the food a lot, so we went back again. We had ceviche and prawn pasta which were both really nice, the seafood is fresh and good. It's not just for tourists, as it seems it is a local's favourite too (was initially recommended to us by a local). Good location near the waterfront. Probably the best place to eat in Puerto Lopez.

“Good food, great drinks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

We stopped in for dinner, sat outside with a nice breeze helping to cool things down. I ordered ceviche camarone and Ken had Arroz con pescado, which was dorado breaded and pan fried. My ceviche was good, nothing amazing but delicious and filling. Shrimp were fresh, nice seasoning and spice to the dish. I added a bit of aji and that took the spice up a notch where I like. Ken's fish was delicious. Not greasy, very lightly breaded, and the fish melted in your mouth. I know because I snuck a few bites of it!

I ordered a caipirinha and it was so good I ordered two more. Raw sugar, fresh limes, yum.

Service was attentive, pleasant, cost was $4 for the fish, and $6 for the ceviche, and $2.50 each for the caipirinha. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Also, in response to another reviewer about making change. Cambio is hard to come by. Smaller the bills the better. We only pay with $5 and under bills, and if we pay with some quarters, they love that! It isn't a rip-off, it is just change (cambio) is seriously very hard and a pain in the butt to get (long lines in banks, and many times THEY run out of coins!)

“No electricity but great meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2012

Shrimp in garlic sauce was excellent. I had grilled (planchar) fish. Good but not as tasty as salsa de ajillo (garlic sauce.)

“Straight from the Ocean to your table.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

If you enjoy seafood this is the place to eat. The wait is sometimes long, but the easiest way to do it, is go over, reserve a table, order your food and go for a walk.

“Good food, they don't make change when you are paying la cuenta!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2012

Food was good and well priced. Papa was not always very pleasant and when it came to paying your bill you absolutely needed to give them a bill near the cost of your food because he did not like making change.
